Parenting can be tough. You wonder if your child will ever grow out of their excessive worries, meltdowns, or tantrums, and you become exhausted and feel guilty for being frustrated with them. The nightly battles with homework and reports from school are wearing you down. The power struggle with your spirited toddler or your strong-willed adolescent may leave you overwhelmed and wondering what you can do differently. Communicating and feeling unified with your partner or caregiver may be difficult or your styles may be different, creating a state of uncertainty or chaos in the home. It is okay to feel overwhelmed. It is also okay to strive for more. You know the potential your child has, and living in a world where you can better help them navigate their development is possible. My goal is to empower you and your child by finding effective parenting strategies and coping skills that work for your family, allowing your child to thrive. I work with children, families, parents, and caregivers to ease the tension that emotions, outbursts, tantrums, and anxiety can bring children and their families. Parents are welcome for parent support as well as for individual therapy to improve their emotional response when triggered by parenting issues. Children are welcome between the ages of 2 and 7 years for Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Let's begin working towards a more peaceful and intentional parenting experience. I welcome all families from all walks of life.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for things to feel different, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care. Licensed in California since 2005, I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety or depression, trauma, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Outside of my work as a therapist, I value spending time outdoors, staying physically active, and being present with my family. I’m a father of five—one son and four daughters, including two stepdaughters—which has given me a deep, lived understanding of blended family dynamics, parenting, and the complexities of family relationships across different stages of development. I enjoy fly fishing, snowboarding, working out, and other outdoor pursuits that help me stay grounded and present—values I often encourage clients to cultivate in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable to them.

If you are looking for someone to talk to for healing, guidance, a different perspective, support, or recovery, I have experience to do just that. Whether it’s life’s little annoying stressors or more complex issues, as a trauma survivor myself, I know firsthand what this is like and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I took an evening course in Psychology 5 when starting school, and by the end of it , I knew I wanted to become a therapist. I was drawn to understanding people on a deeper level and helping them through their struggles. With support from my dad, I left my job and went back to school starting from scratch. I loved every minute of learning and felt more certain with each class that I was on the right path. My dedication paid off...I earned straight A's and received the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology. More importantly I found a sense of purpose in supporting others on their mental health journeys.

About Are you feeling unfulfilled in your relationships, choices, and just life? Those who feel detached from those around them often believe they're a burden and bring no value to those around them. Many individuals go through life never feeling like they belong and lack fulfillment, joy, and a sense of identity. You're here looking to finally put yourself first, to find a sense of satisfaction in your life, and I'd love to be part of that journey so you no longer feel alone. I take great pride in helping individuals find their sense of belonging and overcoming deep negative schemas that they aren't worthy of love. I do this by helping you work through those fears of abandonment, criticism, and rejection. Forming healthy relationships and attachments are instrumental in my approach, and you'll never feel alone. Life is challenging, and it's an even bigger struggle when we are our worst enemies. You may feel like a burden to those around you, but you won't have to feel that way in our therapeutic relationship. I spent the a decade working in the addiction treatment industry. Working in that industry opened my eyes to the need for adequate trauma treatment so I became trained as an EMDR practitioner. In studying mind- body approaches to trauma, such as EMDR, I learned about the effectiveness of Eastern Practices such as Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation in treating a range of psychological challenges.Personally experiencing the benefits of a mindfulness practice led me to obtain formal training in the study of yoga, Tai Chi and mediation so I could bring those benefits to my clients as well. Currently, I specialize in treating a wide range of psychological challenges using integrative approaches such as mindfulness based and trauma informed approaches.

Mindfulness strategies are utilized to help all clients, including her youngest clients, feel empowered by increasing their self-awareness. Change is not an easy process, as it is often more comfortable to accept what is familiar. The desire to change, (whether it is feeling stuck, relationship issues, life transitions, unexpected circumstances, old habits, or patterns of behaviors), occurs when the pain to remain the same is greater than the discomfort associated with the uncertainty of change. Here you will find a warm, welcoming, collaborative, safe space to embrace the courage to change, heal and become the best version of yourself.

Please Read Entirely: Families often come to seek more information on how to establish and produce healthier habits that benefit their well-being and self-esteem. They learn that the healthier they are, it increases their happiness and in turn benefits relationships. Kendall helps families and individuals explore and identify who they are, their communication style and how to protect these realizations with healthy boundaries. After learning more about themselves, families often feel much more equipped to decrease or rid themselves of symptoms that prompt them to seek therapy initially. It's always an honor, privilege and a wonderful opportunity to process with families in their sacred spaces. Consider starting your journey to Optimum Wellness today by scheduling a Live Session with Kendall Bradford, LCSW and Associates. Love and Light! ** Therapy is an emotional process and we do not conduct sessions while family's are operating moterized vehicles.
