Do you feel that you have been pulled in a thousand directions? Are you struggling with self-care, low self-esteem, negative thinking, your job, or your relationships? Is it hard for you to relax? I help clients manage anxiety, and depression and avoid burnout. Together, we can identify your work/life balance. We'll use a whole-self approach addressing the needs of your body and mind to achieve your therapeutic goals. I also use mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and Psychoanalytic therapy to help identify and build a stronger relationship with yourself. Whether you are dealing with relationship issues, being overwhelmed, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, acclimation, addiction, or recovery, I'm here to support you. Seeking therapy can be scary but it is the first step in helping your well-being. You deserve a space where you can grow, heal, and become more reflective. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with comparison and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the issues and habits that are holding you back. I want to help you improve the quality of your life and provide you with a support system. I look forward to working with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will begin with a brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We can also discuss what are your therapeutic goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a therapist is that I have a lot of empathy and compassion for my clients. I come from a bi-cultural background and speak 3 languages including Pastho, Urdu/Hindi, and of course English. I understand the immigrant experience and acclimation as well as clients who are struggling with being bi-cultural.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am interested in working with high school and college students and/or professionals who are transitioning into new careers or relationships. I also like working with individuals who are going through life transitions such as: breakups, divorce, marriage, retirement, parenting, and family issues.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify their negative thought and behavioral thought pattern and where they stem from . They explore how these negative thought patterns affect them in their daily lives. It is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach focusing on the present. I emphasize the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how to learn tools to challenge and modify the client's thinking to improve their behavioral and emotional responses.
