Are you tired of living life defeated, anxious, depressed or just feeling like something is off? Having you been looking for a better way of doing things, but just not quite sure how to get there? Have you been wanting to have a healthy relationship with yourself and others? Then you've come to the right place. Hi, My name is Aaron and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who loves to see people start taking more control over their life and empowering them to become the mature, healthy person that they've always wanted to be. With my 10 plus years of experience I've seen countless clients make consistent, steady and sustainable changes that have helped to transform their lives, and I believe you can transform your life too!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I love meeting new people and welcome the opportunity to find out more about your story, background and what areas of your life that you're hoping to improve. While I like getting to know what's bringing you into therapy at this time, I'm also just interested in you and enjoy finding out things like your favorite food, restaurant, ice cream, movies and things that you enjoy doing. I'm also interested to find out more about your wellness activities like how you are sleeping, what's your diet and exercise like, do you get time each week that's focused on yourself where you can recharge and reset, even if it's just for an hour or too. I believe these things make up a big part what makes us feel happy, whole, content and flourishing at our best. I really look forward to getting to know you and especially look forward to hearing about what areas of your life you're wanting to improve and usually we'll make a weekly plan to figure out how to get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a wealth of experience to our sessions. Nothing you say or talk about is going to scare me, I can handle it. My approach is very personable and professional and really is just a combination of a style that fits who I am. I'm both confident and compassionate, warm, friendly, very curious and will often ask questions about you, mostly because I want to understand what you're going through, how it's affected you and also figure out ways to move through those things in a healthy manner. Additionally, I tend to take a positive psychology and strengths-based approach, often pointing out things you're doing well, praising the progress that you're making and encouraging you as you make positive steps forward in your life. Sometimes I'll tell people to think of me more as a wellness and relational coach than a therapist. Life presents many different challenges and sometimes we just need someone to help coach us through it and figure out the best ways for you to move forward in a way that feels authentic to who you are and the outcome you're wanting. I've been fortunate enough to see so many people make positive, healthy changes in their life and I know that you can do it too!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who are ready to make positive changes in their life. Those changes could be a career, relationally trying to develop healthy and mature ways of interacting, improving your health, diet and fitness or simply wanting to learn how to have a better relationship with yourself and others. Making positive change in your life is a wonderful journey to embark on and I'm looking forward to seeing all the progress you're going to make!

My treatment methods

Positive Psychology

I believe that when you're ready, you're ready to make positive changes in your life. With positive psychology you'll learn how to find the good in things, take better care of yourself, and learn the art of appreciating and being grateful for who you are and what you have to offer.

Faith based therapy

I've had a lot of experience with people who have various faith backgrounds. I help provide a safe space outside of your church and immediate circle to process through various situations, emotions and decisions that you may be facing. Faith is a welcomed part of the therapy process and often helps you to overcome setbacks more quickly when it's part of the process.

Strength-Based

My approach here is very simple. I think most people do not have adequate levels of encouragement, support and praise in their lives. Many people feel run down simply because there are too many people in their lives who are critical, judgmental and unsupportive. A natural part of therapy for me is providing a place where you can receive encouragement, praise, support and developing a sense of feeling proud of yourself and the progress you're making in your life.
