About me

Hi, My name is Aaron and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who loves to see people start taking more control over their life and empowering them to become the mature, healthy person that they've always wanted to be. I've found that many people get bogged down by false lies/narratives that they have in their heads like, "I'm not good enough", "I can't handle it", or the all too common "I don't deserve ... ". These lies, whether we realize it or not, end up impacting many area's of our life, especially the way we view ourselves. With me, my hope is that you will have a transformative experience in the way you look at yourself and believe in yourself. My goal is for you to grow in believing, "There are many good things about me and that's enough", or "I actually can handle it, and I can figure things out" or "I actually do deserve ..." When you grow in actually believing these things, it's amazing how much more mature, healthy and confident you become. You can actually re-write the way you think about yourself and you can experience life to the fullest!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I love meeting new people and welcome the opportunity to find out more about your story, background and what areas of your life that you're hoping to improve. While I like getting to know what's bringing you into therapy at this time, I'm also just interested in you and enjoy finding out things like your favorite food, restaurant, ice cream, movies and things that you enjoy doing. I'm also interested to find out more about your wellness activities like how you are sleeping, what's your diet and exercise like, do you get time each week that's focused on yourself where you can recharge and reset, even if it's just for an hour or too. I believe these things make up a big part what makes us feel happy, whole, content and flourishing at our best. I really look forward to getting to know you and especially look forward to hearing about what areas of your life you're wanting to improve and usually we'll make a weekly plan to figure out how to get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is very personable, compassionate, warm, friendly, and naturally curious. With the use of EMDR, we will explore your underlying negative beliefs and work through processing and integrating your new desired positive beliefs. EMDR is extremely effective with this and you'd be surprised how powerful this approach is and what a big impact it can have on your life. Many people are not familiar with this approach and I will walk you through what to expect with it during our first session. The main question is: Are you ready to transform your life? If so, Let's Begin!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who are ready to make positive changes in their life. Those changes could be a career, relationally trying to develop healthy and mature ways of interacting, improving your health, diet and fitness or simply wanting to learn how to have a better relationship with yourself and others. Making positive change in your life is a wonderful journey to embark on and I'm looking forward to seeing all the progress you're going to make!

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is an essential part of my practice as a therapist. Simply by engaging in the process of EMDR you can have a transformative experience from replacing negative beliefs to believing more positive things about yourself. When this shift happens it ends up having a dramatic positive impact on your life and can help you to live life to it's fullest.

Strength-Based

My approach here is very simple. I think most people do not have adequate levels of encouragement, support and praise in their lives. Many people feel run down simply because there are too many people in their lives who are critical, judgmental and unsupportive. A natural part of therapy for me is providing a place where you can receive encouragement, praise, support and developing a sense of feeling proud of yourself and the progress you're making in your life.
