New to Grow
I am a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, balance, and self-compassion. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach, blending evidence-based methods with a compassionate, client-centered style. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can gain insight, build practical coping skills, and foster lasting emotional well-being. I’m a warm, trauma-informed therapist who helps clients navigate anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship challenges. I blend practical tools with deeper exploration of patterns shaped by past experiences. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space for growth and healing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current challenges, goals, and any relevant personal or family history, and I’ll answer any questions you have about the therapy process. Together, we’ll begin exploring your needs and priorities, and I’ll explain how we can work collaboratively to create a safe, supportive space for growth and change. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear understanding of next steps and how therapy can best support you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to blend evidence-based approaches with a compassionate, client-centered style. I am skilled at helping clients gain insight into patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior while providing practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I excel at tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs, integrating approaches such as CBT, DBT, IFS, psychodynamic, and humanistic methods, depending on what will best support growth and healing. Clients often tell me they appreciate my balance of empathy, insight, and actionable strategies, which helps them achieve lasting results and a greater sense of internal balance.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or stretched thin by life and relationship demands. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or difficulty setting boundaries and prioritizing their own needs. I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection, motivated for change, and seeking both practical tools and deeper insight to create healthier relationships and a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my clinical practice to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use CBT to support clients in identifying unhelpful or distorted thought patterns, examining the evidence for and against those thoughts, and developing more balanced and adaptive ways of thinking. In my practice, I collaborate with clients to set clear, achievable treatment goals and use structured interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, skills training, and exposure-based techniques when appropriate. I also incorporate psychoeducation to help clients understand how cognitive patterns contribute to symptoms such as anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship difficulties. I apply CBT in a flexible and culturally responsive manner, tailoring interventions to each client’s needs, values, and life experiences. I regularly assign between-session practice or “homework” to help clients apply skills in real-life situations, while reviewing progress and barriers in subsequent sessions. My approach emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and building practical coping skills that clients can continue to use beyond therapy.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I have experience using Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and self-compassion. IFS is a non-pathologizing, evidence-based approach that views individuals as having different “parts,” each with its own feelings, beliefs, and protective roles. I help clients understand how these parts develop in response to life experiences and how they attempt to protect the individual, even when their strategies may no longer be helpful. In my practice, I guide clients in identifying and getting to know their parts, such as protective managers, firefighters, and wounded exiles, while fostering access to the core Self, characterized by qualities such as curiosity, calm, compassion, and clarity. I support clients in developing a trusting relationship with their internal system, allowing protective parts to feel safe enough to step back so deeper emotional healing can occur. I use IFS in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner, helping clients process past experiences at a pace that feels safe and empowering. This approach is particularly effective in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and issues related to self-worth and identity. My use of IFS emphasizes collaboration, self-leadership, and long-term internal resilience, allowing clients to experience lasting change and a deeper sense of internal balance.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier relationships. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies with mindfulness and acceptance-based practices. I use DBT to support clients who experience intense emotions, difficulty managing stress, interpersonal challenges, and patterns of emotional dysregulation. In my practice, I incorporate core DBT skill areas including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I work collaboratively with clients to identify problematic behavior patterns, strengthen coping strategies, and increase awareness of emotional triggers. I emphasize skills practice both in session and between sessions to help clients apply DBT tools in real-life situations. I apply DBT in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner, tailoring interventions to each client’s needs, strengths, and goals. My approach balances validation and acceptance with change-oriented strategies, helping clients feel understood while empowering them to make meaningful and sustainable changes. Through DBT, I aim to support clients in building a life that feels more balanced, manageable, and aligned with their values.
Psychodynamic
I have experience using Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients gain insight into how unconscious processes, early life experiences, and relational patterns influence their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This approach focuses on increasing self-awareness and understanding the underlying meanings of emotional experiences, particularly as they show up in relationships and recurring life patterns. In my practice, I help clients explore themes such as attachment styles, defenses, transference and countertransference, and unresolved conflicts from the past that continue to impact present functioning. I create a safe and reflective therapeutic space where clients can examine their inner world, emotional responses, and relationship dynamics without judgment. I use Psychodynamic Therapy in a collaborative and trauma-informed manner, pacing the work to support emotional safety and stability. This approach is particularly effective for clients seeking deeper self-understanding, improved relational functioning, and long-term emotional growth. I often integrate psychodynamic insights with more structured, skills-based interventions when appropriate, allowing clients to gain both insight and practical tools for change.
Trauma Informed Care
I have experience using Person-Centered (Humanistic) Therapy to support clients in developing self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal growth. This approach is grounded in the belief that individuals have an innate capacity for healing and change when provided with a supportive and empathic therapeutic environment. In my practice, I emphasize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space characterized by unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity. I work collaboratively with clients, honoring their lived experiences and perspectives, and support them in exploring their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. Rather than directing the process, I empower clients to lead sessions while I facilitate insight, reflection, and emotional understanding. I use Person-Centered Therapy in a trauma-informed and culturally responsive manner, recognizing the impact of systemic, relational, and environmental factors on clients’ experiences. This approach is particularly effective in helping clients build self-esteem, clarify values, strengthen autonomy, and develop a greater sense of agency. I often integrate humanistic principles with other therapeutic modalities to ensure care is both compassionate and responsive to each client’s unique needs.
