Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My theoretical background is CBT but I am an eclectic provider and will use modalities that are client centered and will help clients improve or decrease distressing symptoms. I have used CBT with clients who have anxiety, depression, and addiction issues to name a few. I help the client to identify behavioral patterns and their irrational thoughts to help them move towards desiring change and taking actions to change.

First Intro session: I appreciated their direct and clear communication. No judgement and open acceptance of who I am/how I present, as well as a clearly rich and experienced tenure as a therapist. I would definitely see them again!

My partner of 4+ years and I have struggled with communication, but recently with heavy workload and stress it has had as gotten harder. I have never felt more dysregulated in my life. I was feeling very unheard and he was feeling very triggered. We found Aspen and their profile looked promising. During our initial session, I was repeatedly interrupted and cutoff by Aspen. At one point I asked if I would be able to finish my point, but I believe I was lectured instead. Cannot recommend.

Aspen was very welcoming and asked thought provoking questions. I felt very comfortable opening up and sharing about myself. Seems to have a great knowledge about many different subjects and traumas.
