New to Grow
Congratulations on starting your journey to healing. I believe that healing is possible for everyone. My passion as a therapist is helping people discover their strength, resilience, and ability to grow through life’s challenges. Over the past several years, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults from many different walks of life—survivors of trauma, youth in foster care, immigrant families, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. These experiences have taught me that no two journeys are alike, and that therapy should always honor your unique story and strengths.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. I’ll ask questions to learn about your background, current concerns, and hopes for therapy. We’ll work together to set a direction that feels right for you.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to really listen and create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. I know it can be hard to open up about painful experiences, so I meet you with patience, compassion, and zero judgement. I am especially skilled in helping people work through the impact of trauma, stress, and overwhelming emotions. I use practical evidenced based tools to guide you, but I also believe the heart of therapy is having someone you can trust alongside you.
My ideal clients are individuals who are navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, or major life transitions and are ready to begin the healing process. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by their experiences, struggle with managing emotions, or find it hard to trust others. I especially enjoy supporting clients who want to better understand their past while building healthier coping skills for the present. Whether you are a child, teen, or adult, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can process your story at your own pace, develop resilience, and begin to experience inner confidence.
I have year of experience using CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier perspectives. In sessions this usually means working together to build coping skills and learn tools, challenge negative self-talk, and create a more balanced way of thinking.
I incorporate DBT-informed strategies such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation. These tools are especially helpful for clients who feel overwhelmed by strong emotions or want more practical techniques to navigate daily challenges.
I believe therapy should feel collaborative and supportive. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to build on their own strenghts.
I integrate trauma informed and trauma-sensitive approaches into my work, ensuring sessions move at a pace that feels safe and respectful, while helping client process difficult experiences without becoming overwhelmed.
I have experience guiding children, adolescents, and adults through the phases of TF-CBT which include psychoeducation, skill-building, gradual exposure, and trauma narrative processing. In practice I use this model to help clients develop healthy coping strategies, reduce trauma-related distress, and strengthen resilience in a safe and supportive environment.
