Asking for help is one of the most courageous things you can do for yourself. Life can be stressful, and you can feel pulled in many different directions. Being an African American man growing up in Los Angeles, I have faced my share of challenges and obstacles and when stress sets in, I understand that even the smallest pebble can feel like a major Boulder. I come from a traditional family where men and oftentimes women are discouraged from seeking help to deal with life's struggles and stresses. I aim to fill that void and change that narrative. I empower Men, Women and Families to seek to understand their struggles, anxieties and life challenges and to overcome them.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I would describe my approach as empathetic, goal-oriented, and client-centered. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational interviewing to help my clients set goals and objectives, work through their traumas, and feel empowered. I enjoy helping people through challenging situations. I provide a warm and non-judgmental environment, allowing us to better work together and reach our goals.
I provide an open, non-judgmental approach to assist my clients to work through their thoughts, feelings, behaviors and life’s challenges. I work hard to ensure that my clients feel heard and empowered in each session and apply that approach to their daily lives.
I love working with teenagers and adult dealing with life challenges, relationships and difficult situations. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make the life changes and positive outcomes they deserve. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their current circumstances.
