Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I work with clients who may be struggling with mood disorders, overwhelming emotions, and life difficulties. During the initial session, we will focus on what brought you to seeking help and collaborate on what interventions will be best suited to get you to where you need to be.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I like to focus on how emotional dysregulation or difficulties with handling stress can impact you in the present moment, and ways to enhance awareness of what pulls you out of the present moment. I am a challenging therapist, where I ask a lot of open-ended questions to encourage you to explore what solutions you are seeking and how to implement those solutions in your everyday life. I focus on skill building and emphasize the importance of those skills to be utilized and practiced in-between sessions, where I believe most of the progress is made in-between those sessions and through skill building.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My approach is to focus on coping skills to help build or enhance self-regulation for moods, intrusive thoughts, stress, and executive functioning. I begin with understanding your current circumstances that may be leading to feelings of stress/overwhelmed and use solution focused interventions to discover alternative ways of handling thoughts, emotions, and stress. I highlight strengths and values to help create a better understanding of the life you want to lead. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use. I have an additional focus on women's health and empowerment.

In sessions, I assess for where energy may be stored in the body and how anxiety, depression, trauma, or subconscious thoughts can influence that energy. I focus on where emotions and stress are felt in the body and ways to isolate and release that tension.
