Jennifer has over 25 years working a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has clinical experience in a variety of treatment settings including inpatient psychiatry, outpatient community mental health care, outpatient substance abuse and college mental health. My approach to therapy Her approach to counseling is holistic, fostering an individuals growth and healthy development in the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and social areas. She utilizes a wide range of therapeutic approaches with a specific focus on cognitive -behavioral and person-centered therapy interventions to help treat individuals. Her clinical background includes both individual and group psychotherapy.
What you can expect from me Jennifer aims to provide symptom relief for individuals recovering from trauma, grief, depression and anxiety while supporting self-esteem and wellness in all areas of life.
My style is Warm, Humorous and Solution Oriented. I have been given positive feed back from clients about my ability to enter the client's internal world with sensitivity. helping them to feel understood without judgement. I am proud to offer a nonjudgmental presence that allows clients to explore difficult parts of themselves safely through unconditional positive regard. My gaminess in the therapeutic relationship fosters trust and my decades of practice enables me to build strong, healing alliances across diverse clients and complex emotional landscapes.
Adult clients aged 18- geriatric. Who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, substance abuse and relationship difficulties. I have experience with people suffering from vocational stress, ocd, eating related difficulties ,low self-esteem and abusive relationships. “I work best with people who feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, worry, or self-doubt, and who want to learn new ways of responding to life’s challenges. My approach is based on CBT, which means we’ll look at how your thinking patterns influence your emotions and actions. I’ll help you build skills to challenge negative thoughts and develop healthier ways of coping in your day-to-day life.
