New to Grow
Hi, I'm Jennifer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 10 years of experience in the field of social work and behavioral health. I truly enjoy what I do and feel honored to support individuals through life's challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where my clients feel heard, understood and empowered. People seek therapy for many different reasons. Whatever brings you here, taking the first step on your therapeutic journey is a courageous one.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Whatever brought you to this point, my hope is that therapy becomes a meaningful and transformative experience. Together, we will harness internal strengths, enhance coping skills, define methods for self-care, and repair meaningful connections. Let's start this journey together!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of the strongest aspects is providing a collaborative therapeutic approach. I use evidenced-based modalities that provide practical structured tools that clients can apply in real life. My approach provides a balance between insight and action.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in supporting adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, work stress, relationship issues, addiction and complex family dynamics. I'm committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress. In my clinical work, I guide clients in recognizing cognitive distortions, developing healthier thinking patterns, and implementing practical behavior strategies to improve functioning and emotion regulation. I incorporate CBT interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavior activation, thought monitoring, and skills training to support clients dealing with concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions and relational challenges.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate ACT in my clinical work to help clients develop psychological flexibility and improve their relationship with difficult though patterns. Through ACT, I support clients in learning to accept internal experiences rather than avoid them, while identifying personal values that guide meaningful behvaior change. In treatment, I utilize techniques such as mindfulness, cognitive defusion and acceptance strategies to help clients reduce avoidance and engage in value-driven actions.
