New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered in their journey toward healing and growth. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University in 2019 and have over 10 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults across diverse settings. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and develop meaningful tools for lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. We will discuss relevant history, review your current challenges, and begin identifying meaningful goals for treatment. I will also explain my therapeutic approach, review confidentiality, and outline what you can expect from our work together. This initial meeting is a space for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether you feel comfortable moving forward. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in trust, collaboration, and mutual understanding. Together, we will determine the best path forward in a way that feels supportive and aligned with your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, respected, and supported. Building trust is central to my work, and I am intentional about fostering an environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. I also believe that therapy does not always have to feel heavy. When appropriate, I incorporate humor to help ease tension and make the process feel more approachable. I work to normalize emotions and life experiences, helping clients understand that many of the challenges they face are part of being human. My goal is to balance warmth and authenticity with meaningful, growth-oriented work.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to support individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Many of my clients come to therapy experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, or difficulties managing emotions. I also work well with those navigating identity development, school or career stress, family dynamics, care giving responsibilities, or aging-related concerns. I am particularly attuned to clients who want a space where they feel genuinely heard and understood. Whether you are new to therapy or returning with specific goals in mind, I work best with individuals who are open to self-reflection and motivated—at their own pace—to explore patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. Together, we clarify your goals, whether that means improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, increasing confidence, processing past experiences, or simply finding steadiness during a difficult season of life. If you are looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where growth feels possible and manageable, we may be a good fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) since the beginning of my career. This evidence-based approach is highly effective in treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a more relaxed and less stressful life.
Narrative
Narrative therapy helps individuals externalize their problems and view them as separate from their identity. Through a collaborative process, we work together to re-author unhelpful life stories into narratives that are more empowering, strengths-based, and aligned with their values.
Interpersonal
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) focuses on enhancing communication skills and strengthening relationship patterns. By addressing interpersonal challenges, this approach can positively impact areas such as work performance, personal relationships, self-esteem, and family dynamics.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, client-centered approach that understands ambivalence as a natural part of change. Together, we will explore mixed feelings and strengthen your intrinsic motivation by identifying your personal values and reasons for change.
