Welcome! I am a Haitian American therapist who understands how culture, identity, and lived experience can shape our mental health. I have a number of seven plus years of experience working in preventive services, crisis intervention and providing therapy services. I provide a safe, affirming space where you can show up fully as yourself without judgement. I recognize deeply and respectfully that people hold more than one social, cultural, or personal identity such as race, gender, disability, religion, immigration status, sexuality or professional status, and that those layered experiences cannot be reduced to a single label. I believe healing happens when you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we'll explore your strengths, and work through challenges in a safe space. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in cultural understanding while supporting you as you work toward balance, clarity, and emotional well-being.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, clients should expect a welcoming and supportive environment focused on building rapport and understanding their needs. We will go over confidentiality, program expectations, and discuss concerns that led to services. I will gather some background information on family dynamics, strengths, challenges and goals to help me understand your situation. Together we will begin identifying priority areas for support. The first session is collaborative, client-centered, and will aim to ensure my clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in the treatment process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

what stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to balance accountability with empathy while keeping clients engaged in the change process. I integrate strengths-based and solution-focused to highlight resilience, identify practical solutions, and build on what is already working within my clients' system. As a result, clients often experience increased engagement, and improved emotional regulation. My aim is to have clients feel more equipped and confident, leading to sustainable change beyond the duration of services.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals to help manage anxiety, depression, stress and emotional regulation. I also work with families focusing on improving communication, strengthening relationships, and addressing challenges that affect the family system as a whole.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

In sessions, I use a strengths-based approach by identifying and highlighting my client's existing skills, resilience, and past successes to support behavioral and relational goals. I help clients reframe challenges to reduce shame, amplify moments when concerns are less severe and collaborate with my clients to build practical strategies rooted in what's already working for them. I use this approach to promote empowerment, increases engagement, and strengthens my clients' confidence in their ability to create sustainable change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I also use solution focused approach where I help clients identify clear, achievable goals. I use techniques such as exception questions, scaling questions, and future-oriented questions to shift attention from problems to practical solutions. This approach will highlight the client's strengths, resources and promotes small, measurable steps toward change. Clients will be able to build on what's already working
