Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what’s been difficult for you. I’ll ask about your concerns, relevant history, and what you’d like help with, while also leaving space for questions or reflections you may have. We’ll discuss goals and how we might work together moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel understood and respected. I integrate thoughtful exploration of emotional patterns with practical, evidence-based tools to support change. My experience across inpatient, school, and university settings allows me to work calmly and effectively with complex challenges and help clients achieve meaningful, lasting progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m especially well-suited to work with individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in recurring emotional or relational patterns. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, mood concerns, life transitions, or challenges around identity, relationships, or self-direction. I work best with people who are curious about themselves and open to both reflection and practical change, whether they’re new to therapy or returning with specific goals in mind.

Dr. Jacobs is a very warm and friendly person to talk to. It is not an easy task for me when interacting with a stranger, but Dr. Jacobs somehow made it an easy to open to him, even from the first session. I have had 4 sessions with him and I already see results. I am glad that I have seeked therapy and look forward to the future sessions with more useful strategies from Dr. Jacobs.
