’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing telehealth therapy to adults throughout New York State. I work with anxiety, depression, work stress, burnout, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. Many of my clients are capable, high-functioning people who are used to handling a great deal but feel internally overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down. Some have tried therapy before and found it supportive, but not especially effective. My goal is for therapy to feel clear, practical, and genuinely useful. My style is direct, thoughtful, and collaborative. I use CBT and DBT to help clients understand the patterns contributing to distress and develop concrete tools to manage emotions, reduce stress, and create meaningful change in daily life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, my goal is to develop a clear understanding of what is bringing you to therapy, what feels most pressing right now, and what you hope will be different as a result of the work. We’ll talk through your current concerns, relevant background, and any patterns you’ve noticed in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, or day-to-day functioning. I also use the first session to understand what has and has not been helpful for you in the past, including previous therapy experiences if applicable. That gives me a better sense of how to approach the work in a way that is more likely to feel useful, focused, and effective for you. My style is direct, thoughtful, and collaborative. The first session is not about pressuring you to tell your entire life story all at once. It is about building an accurate picture of what is going on, identifying where the greatest strain is, and beginning to map out a practical way forward. By the end of the session, my hope is that you will have a stronger sense of how I work, whether the fit feels right, and what our next steps would likely look like. I want the process to feel grounded, organized, and genuinely productive from the start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients move beyond insight alone and into meaningful, lasting change. I work especially well with thoughtful, capable, high-functioning adults who may appear to be managing well on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down internally. Many have tried therapy before and found it supportive, but not especially effective. My approach is structured, practical, and collaborative. I primarily use CBT and DBT to help clients identify the patterns contributing to distress, understand how those patterns show up in daily life, and develop concrete strategies to respond more effectively. This often includes work around anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, emotional reactivity, relationship strain, and difficulty managing multiple responsibilities at once. I’m particularly well suited to clients who want therapy to feel focused, thoughtful, and useful. I help clients build clarity, strengthen coping, improve emotional regulation, and make changes that are both psychologically meaningful and realistic in everyday life. My goal is for therapy to feel grounded, productive, and genuinely effective.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

’m best positioned to work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, work stress, burnout, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I’m often a strong fit for high-functioning people who are used to managing a lot on their own, but feel internally overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down. I also work well with clients who have tried therapy before and are looking for something more structured, practical, and effective. My clients are typically looking for clearer thinking, better emotional regulation, stronger coping, healthier relationships, and meaningful change in daily life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how those patterns may be maintaining anxiety, depression, stress, or interpersonal difficulties. In sessions, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, examine how they affect day-to-day functioning, and develop practical strategies to respond more effectively. My style is structured, collaborative, and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on helping clients apply what we discuss in session to real-life situations.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients build practical skills for managing intense emotions, tolerating stress more effectively, and improving relationships. In my practice, DBT is especially helpful for clients who feel overwhelmed, reactive, stuck in repetitive patterns, or frustrated that previous therapy did not lead to meaningful change. I integrate DBT in a structured, straightforward way so clients can apply the skills in real-life situations.
