Hi, I am a Licensed Master's Degree Therapist. I have been in the field for 32 years. I help adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-esteem issues. Treatment Modalities are CBT, and TF-CBT, I also enjoy Faith-Based Counseling. I want to help clients to understand how important their thought life is. Your thoughts will take you to dark, negative places that can paralyze you with fear and stricken you with anxiety or they can help you experience peace, and joy, and empower you to become the best version of yourself. Toxic thoughts also cause health problems such as migraines, high blood pressure, and strokes, just to name a few. As we work together, I will teach you how to change negative, irrational thinking to thoughts that are more life-affirming, practical, and balanced thinking in order for you to improve your relationship with yourself and others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, there will be brief introduction. We will discuss the current challenges that you are facing and how they have affected you and changes you desire to make.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told that I am empathetic, listen well, authentic, genuine and compassionate. I also think that I am a good listener and therefore able to assist clients with gaining insight into their current situation in order for effective changes to be made.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been working with clients using for over 20 years. I find it very helpful in identifying situations or conditions in one's life. It helps in helping people become aware of their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs about themselves and their problems. It helps with reshaping negative and inaccurate thinking. Changing negative and irrational thinking can lead to healthy, productive and happy lives.

Faith based therapy

I became involved in faith-based counseling about 4 years ago. The technique provides behavioral science with teachings found in scripture. It allows an individual to find healing through God and behavioral therapy techniques. We are shaped in large part by our thoughts. In faith-based therapy those negative irrational thoughts are replaced with God's word.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have been working with Trauma-Focused CBT for 10 years now. This therapy is specifically designed for survivors of traumatic experiences. TF-CBT, uses exposure principles and cognitive-restructuring techniques that are specific to the trauma experience. The three phases of TF-CBT are stabilization, trauma narration, and processing.
