I am a therapist who believes in creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences without fear of shame or criticism. My approach is grounded in helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences while building practical tools for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and healing. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, trauma, emotional dysregulation, shame, relationship difficulties, and identity-related concerns. I often incorporate approaches such as CBT, DBT, ICBT, and trauma-informed care to help clients develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen self-trust, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and manageable.
During the intake session, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and not judged. We will spend time discussing what has been bringing you into therapy, current struggles, important life experiences, and patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or feeling stuck. I understand that opening up can feel uncomfortable, especially when discussing intrusive thoughts, shame, trauma, or difficult emotions, so I approach sessions with compassion, curiosity, and honesty rather than criticism. The intake is also an opportunity for us to begin building rapport and understanding what goals you would like to work toward in therapy. I may ask questions about your mental health history, relationships, coping strategies, stressors, and day-to-day functioning to gain a fuller picture of your experiences. Together, we will begin identifying treatment approaches and tools that best fit your needs while moving at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for you.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a nonjudgmental and emotionally safe environment for clients who may carry significant shame, fear, or distress about their thoughts, behaviors, or past experiences. I strive to meet clients with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity while still maintaining accountability and encouraging meaningful growth. I am skilled at helping clients explore complex emotional patterns, intrusive thoughts, trauma responses, and compulsive behaviors in a way that feels approachable and manageable rather than overwhelming. I value building strong therapeutic rapport and helping clients feel understood while also providing practical tools for emotional regulation, insight, and long-term healing. My approach balances empathy with evidence-based interventions to help clients better understand themselves and move toward lasting change.
I am seeking individuals who are open to self-reflection, committed to their personal growth, and motivated to make positive changes in their lives. My ideal clients are those who: - Are willing to actively participate in therapy: This includes completing homework assignments, practicing new skills, and attending regular sessions. - Are open to trying new approaches: They are willing to step outside of their comfort zone and explore different strategies for coping with their challenges. - Have a strong desire to heal and grow: They are seeking long-term solutions and are committed to making lasting changes in their lives. - Are able to build trust and rapport with their therapist: A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective treatment. If you are ready to invest in your mental health and are looking for a supportive and compassionate therapist to guide you on your journey, I would be honored to work with you.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Through an understanding of how thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected, individuals can learn to challenge unhelpful thinking and develop healthier coping mechanisms. CBT is effective for a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and eating disorders. This is the primary methodology I use during sessions.
EMDR
a form of psychotherapy that helps people heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic life experiences. During EMDR therapy, clients focus on disturbing memories while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping. This process helps the brain process and integrate traumatic memories, reducing their emotional impact and alleviating symptoms of PTSD and other trauma-related disorders.

As I was scrolling through the list of all the therapists she was the one that stood out to me. It seems like she was the right choice. She was down to earth, easy to talk to, she suggested a book that I hope to have read by the next session. She helped me see light at the end of the tunnel. She made me feel hopeful.
