Hi, I am a licensed clinical social worker from Michigan and have been practicing for 10 years. It is my goal to use my knowledge and experiences in a way that is honest, relatable, non-judgmental and consistent. Taking steps towards change can be scary and overwhelming. It would be an honor to provide a safe and thought-provoking space that empowers you to grow in the direction of your choice.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During out first sessions I will spend time getting to know you, your current struggles, and learning about future wishes for your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an excellent team mate and enthusiastic cheerleader. I have been described as authentic, casual, empathetic and honest.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Every person is unique, therefore, each person’s therapeutic needs are unique. With a wide variety of experiences, I integrate strategies from multiple modalities and theories in a way that feels right for you. This flexible approach helps illuminate strengths to build on, while working through struggles, in a holistic and authentic way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interrelated and influenced by our environment. This continuous interaction within ourselves and with the world around us forms the "lens" in which we view the world. CBT helps address uncomfortable feelings we experience by identifying our emotions, examining our thoughts and observing behaviors. When we are able to understand our own processes, we are better able to leverage our strengths to live life on our own terms. The concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy allow for non-judgmental exploration into the formation of our selves, while creating space for change in the direction of your choice.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Working with people to increase mindfulness skills helps to bring awareness to our thoughts and feelings. With this awareness, we can take better control of our own experience.
