Hello! I am a licensed mental health therapist. I have over 8 years of experience providing therapy to individual adults. Reaching out for assistance is a sign of strength and courage. I work with anxiety, depression, stress, coping strategies, and life transitions. I primarily use clinical approaches from Humanistic, person-centered therapies. Drawing from modalities from mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tailoring to the specific needs of each individual client.
In our first session together, with curiosity, warmth and non-judgement, I gather information about you that will help me understand who you are and the reasons that brought you to therapy. We will then explore what you would like to accomplish with our time together in treatment.
I have worked with a wide range of presentations, ages and life circumstances. Prior to providing mental health therapy, I spent many years serving those experiencing housing displacement, domestic violence and substance abuse. I believe the therapeutic alliance/relationship is the foundation of therapy. I strive to provide clients with a warm, compassionate space that fosters healing and growth, a place where they can feel safe to be who they are in the moment, while working towards positive change.
I am best positioned to work with clients who are motivated and open to a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
