My name is Priscille Duvalsaint. I am a Christian, born and raised in New York and first generation Haitian American. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida since 2013. During the first session we will work on our initial assessment/intake and become more familiar with one another. I work on establishing rapport and focus on strengthening the therapeutic relationship as well as assessment of any recent mood episodes to address severity and address concerns.

Over a decade of experience helping individuals recognize cognitive distortions and examine the evidence for and against these thoughts to make positive changes. Work on behavioral activation and help clients to increase engagement in activities that bring pleasure or sense of accomplishment. Working on exposure therapy to help individuals gradually confront and overcome fears and anxieties.
Extensive experience emphasizing client's potential for growth and self-actualization by focusing on ones unique experiences, values, and beliefs, rather than diagnosing.
Extensive experience with core mindful practices. Focus on cultivating present-moment awareness and acceptance of thoughts and emotions through practices like meditation, mindful breathing and body scan.
Years of experience with goal setting, exception-finding, miracle question, scaling questions, coping questions to help clients find solutions to current problems rather than dwelling on past issues.
