Hello! I'm Diane, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia and have been practicing for over 14 years. I obtained my Master's in Social Work at Florida State University. My goal is to assist others with difficulties in life circumstances achieve their highest functioning and best quality of life possible, whether it be addiction, depression, anxiety and stress-related concerns.
During our first session, we will begin with brief introductions and identification of issues that are important to the client as needing to be addressed.
As a therapist, I have worked in the field of behavioral health and substance abuse, helping others identify barriers to living the life they want. Building a solid therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to maintaining goals for treatment.
I am passionate about working with others that may be dealing with life transitions that can bring about stress, depression and anxiety. In addition, I enjoy helping those with substance use issues navigate a journey to recovery and hope.
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
