New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s most challenging transitions. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens when we reconnect with ourselves and our environment. I specialize in supporting adults and teens dealing with grief, trauma, and anxiety by integrating evidence-based clinical tools with the restorative power of nature. Whether we are processing past experiences through EMDR or clarifying your future through values-based action, my goal is to help you build a resilient, authentic life that feels truly your own.
In our first session, we will focus on creating a comfortable, safe space where you feel heard. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your current goals, and begin identifying the tools that resonate most with you. It’s a collaborative time to ensure we are a great fit.
I excel at helping clients who feel 'stuck' in their heads by shifting the focus toward somatic grounding and mindfulness. By incorporating an appreciation for the natural world and sensory awareness into our sessions, I help you regulate your nervous system in real-time. This allows us to move beyond just discussing problems and instead focus on creating tangible, values-driven change that helps you feel more connected to yourself and your surroundings.
I am best positioned to serve adults and teenagers navigating significant life transitions, anxiety, or the heavy weight of grief. My ideal clients are often those seeking a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. Whether you are a professional facing burnout or an individual feeling 'stuck' in past trauma, I offer a grounded, compassionate space for healing.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I utilize ACT to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility, teaching them to stay present and engage with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than over-identifying with or avoiding them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. By recognizing the 'cognitive distortions' we all experience, we work together to develop practical coping strategies and behavioral changes that improve mood and daily functioning.
EMDR
I utilize EMDR to help clients process distressing memories that feel 'stuck.' By using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or taps), we work to desensitize the emotional charge of past traumas, allowing your brain to resume its natural healing process and store those memories in a more adaptive, less painful way.
Grief Therapy
I approach grief therapy by providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you to honor your loss at your own pace. I help clients navigate the 'waves' of grief, moving away from the idea of 'getting over it' and toward integrating the loss into their lives in a way that allows for eventual healing and renewed meaning.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients cultivate a non-judgmental awareness of the present moment. By practicing specific grounding techniques and breathwork, we work to reduce the 'noise' of past regrets or future anxieties, allowing you to respond to life’s stressors with greater clarity and composure rather than reacting out of habit.
