I am an LPC who is best positioned to serve children, adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges, particularly those involved in high-stress systems. I have extensive experience working with trauma-exposed youth, parenting stress, and complex family dynamics, I am well equipped to support clients who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or resistant to traditional therapy approaches. I am especially effective with individuals and families who benefit from structured, skills-based interventions combined with a strengths-focused and practical approach. My clinical style allows me to meet clients where they are, build trust quickly, and provide meaningful support that promotes stability, resilience, and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session focuses on building rapport, establishing safety, and understanding what you hope to gain from therapy. I take time to learn about your concerns while also identifying your strengths, supports, and what is already working in your life. Together, we clarify goals for treatment and discuss what meaningful progress would look like for you. I explain the therapy process in a clear and collaborative way, ensuring you feel informed and comfortable moving forward. By the end of the session, we will have a shared understanding of your priorities, an initial plan for treatment, and a sense of how therapy can support positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist include my ability to build trust quickly, provide a calm and supportive presence, and meet clients where they are without judgment. I bring a strong balance of empathy and structure, allowing me to support clients emotionally while also offering practical, skills-based interventions that promote real change. I am highly experienced in working with children, families, and system-involved clients, which enables me to navigate complex situations with confidence and clarity. My strengths-based and solution-focused approach helps clients recognize their resilience, increase self-efficacy, and feel empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a child, adolescent, adult, or family who is navigating emotional, behavioral, or relational challenges and is seeking practical support and meaningful change. They may be experiencing the impact of trauma, chronic stress, parenting difficulties, or system involvement such as juvenile court or child welfare services. My ideal client may feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure of where to begin, yet is open to collaboration and growth when met with empathy, structure, and respect. They benefit from a strengths-based, solution-focused, and skills-driven approach that emphasizes resilience, emotional regulation, and improved communication. I work best with clients who value consistency, are willing to explore new strategies, and are motivated to create safer, healthier patterns for themselves and their families.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in my practice by maintaining a consistent focus on clients’ strengths, goals, and existing resources rather than engaging in extensive problem analysis. I begin by helping clients clearly identify what they want to be different as a result of therapy, which allows me to establish a goal-directed and hopeful tone from the outset. I guide clients in describing their preferred future through techniques such as the miracle question, encouraging them to imagine how their lives would look if their presenting concerns were resolved. This process helps clients identify concrete, observable changes and increases motivation for progress. I also use scaling questions throughout treatment to assess progress, confidence, and readiness for change, which allows me and the client to recognize even small improvements and identify what is already helping. I place strong emphasis on identifying exceptions times when the problem was less intense or absent and explore what the client did differently during those moments. By highlighting these exceptions, I help clients build on strategies that are already effective in their lives. I intentionally provide strength-based feedback and clinical compliments to reinforce resilience, effort, and problem-solving skills, which supports self-efficacy and engagement in therapy. I typically conclude sessions by collaborating with clients to identify small, achievable tasks that encourage them to notice and repeat helpful behaviors between sessions. In my documentation and treatment planning, I emphasize measurable goals, brief and targeted interventions, and observable progress, making this approach well-suited for my work with children, families, and court-involved populations.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how these patterns impact daily functioning. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns and explore how these thoughts influence emotional responses and behavioral choices. Through structured interventions, I support clients in developing more balanced, realistic ways of thinking and in practicing new coping and problem-solving skills. I incorporate psychoeducation, guided discovery, and skills-based exercises to help clients gain insight and increase emotional regulation. I also emphasize the use of practical strategies that clients can apply between sessions, allowing them to build confidence, reduce symptoms, and make meaningful changes over time.
