Hello there, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing for the last four years in the state of Georgia. I'm often described as funny, and empathetic, however I will always remain professional, and be sure to meet you where you are. I believe that we are all capable of change, and sometimes just need a little bit of support. I am here to be that support. While it can be hard to ask for assistance, I am so happy that you are here and are taking the first steps towards whatever change you are seeking. I look forward to working with you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will first begin with some housekeeping. Going over confidentiality, and mandated reporting. We will complete an assessment so I can get to know you better. From there I allow you to set the pace. We can start from childhood, or a recent conflict. We can even talk about your current day if that's what you are comfortable with.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have mentioned it a couple of times already, but my greatest strength is meeting you where you are. Helping my clients in ways that are most effective for them, and not just generically. I also have a very good memory and have been told the little things often make a huge impact on my client's. Such as remembering your ex boyfriend's name you only brought up once, or what your mom said to you when you were 10 that bothered you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I want to meet you wherever you are. Whether you are hesitant and need some time to warm up and feel comfortable; or are ready to hop into your first session and get to work. I am here and ready to work with client's who are ready to take the first step. I just ask that you be consistent with making your appointments, or rescheduling in a timely fashion if needed.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our behaviors, feelings, and thoughts are all connected. Cognitive behavioral therapy works on changing your perception which ends the cycle that sometimes negatively affects our lives.

Motivational Interviewing

Change can be hard, and even when we want to change we can be resistant. Collaboration is important in therapy so we will collaborate and through listening to what is unsaid sometimes we will work together to help you achieve change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Most things in life are not black and white. More than one thing can be true at once and a lot of DBT focuses on acceptance of things.

Strength-Based

We all have strengths, and I believe focusing on them can be useful in our growth. Sometimes we just need a reminder of all the things we do well.
