Greetings! I am a Forensic Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Georgia. I am an Afro Latina from Los Angeles, California and attribute my tenacity, loyalty and fearlessness to my experiences, family and triumph over domestic violence. I received my Doctorate from Alliant International University and have been practicing for 15 years. My professional background is multi-textural. I severed as a Staff Psychologist for Juvenile Youth Camps and adult maximum security prisons in California and North Carolina. During my time in Georgia, I served in the following roles: Psychomotrist, psychological assessor, family therapist, child therapist, legal expert witness, EAP Consultant, Behavioral Health Branch Head, and Family Advocacy Program Manager on a military installation. I provided mental health consultation to organizations such as Job Corps, the Department of Family and Children Services, and Albany State University.
In our first session together, we will start with introductions and build rapport. Chemistry and connection is very important in a theraputic relationship. We will then explore the challenges you are facing and solutions you have tried in the past. This will help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Your input is vital to the creation of your new life!
As a provider, a few of my greatest strengths include being supportive, compassionate and non judgmental. I am here for you and will cheer you on to the finish line.
Jaye Rodriguez offers therapy covered by Medicaid - Peach State Health Plan and Peach State Health Plan (Managed Medicaid) in Georgia.
I have been using CBT in my practice for the past 5 years. It has assisted many clients by challenging reoccurring thoughts and assisting with managing their anxiety. We will use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We will then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a more gratifying lifestyle.
