New to Grow
I am a veteran with five years of counseling experience, bringing a grounded, compassionate, and disciplined approach to therapy. I take the time to truly understand each client’s unique needs and goals, creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients address anxiety, depression, PTSD, and target behaviors while building practical coping skills to support lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session, you can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental space where your goals and concerns are the priority. I believe you are the driver of your own recovery, and therapy is a collaborative process shaped by what you want to achieve and the effort you put into it. I encourage honesty, openness, and motivation for change, as these are key to making therapy meaningful and effective.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my motivation, compassion, and nonjudgmental approach, which help clients feel safe, understood, and supported. As a veteran, I bring a unique perspective shaped by discipline, resilience, and real-world experience. I am deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in my clients’ lives and walking alongside them as they work toward growth and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and take an active role in their own healing and growth. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or the impact of past experiences, and are ready to develop healthier coping skills and process meaningful change. These clients are open to working on target behaviors, strengthening distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills, improving interpersonal relationships, and learning how to take greater control of their thoughts and emotional responses.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I ran a group therapy for DBT and would use this treatment method to help clients with their anxiety, depression, and mood swings. I also used this treatment method to help clients take control of their minds, regulate emotions, help learn distress tolerance skills in a crisis, and to help ask for help, say no, and set boundaries in relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as a treatment method to help clients with their anxiety and depression and take better control of their thoughts to change their behaviors.
