Hi, I’m Tabitha Samuels, M.S., CMHC, C-DBT, LPC. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping individuals build deeper self-awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience. I specialize in anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and life transitions, using CBT and DBT-informed approaches to support practical, lasting change. My work focuses on helping you reconnect with your authentic voice, challenge limiting beliefs, and step into the next level of who you’re becoming. I provide a warm, collaborative space where growth feels empowering—not overwhelming—and where healing leads to meaningful transformation in your everyday life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a space for us to slow down and begin building a strong foundation. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what feels most important right now, and what you hope will be different in your life as a result of our work together. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your history, current stressors, strengths, and support system. You can expect a warm, collaborative conversation—not an interrogation. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and safe. By the end of our first session, we’ll identify initial goals and discuss a plan for moving forward so you leave with clarity and direction.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is helping clients reconnect with their authentic voice and build lasting confidence from the inside out. I’m skilled at identifying the core beliefs driving anxiety, low self-worth, and emotional overwhelm—and guiding clients through practical, evidence-based strategies to shift those patterns. I take an eclectic approach, integrating CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities with a holistic lens to support the whole person—mind, emotions, and lived experience. My focus is not only on reducing symptoms but on creating meaningful, sustainable transformation. Clients often share that they feel deeply understood in our work together and leave sessions with clarity, actionable tools, and a stronger sense of self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are ready for growth—even if they feel anxious, stuck, or unsure where to begin. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from their true selves. They may be navigating life transitions, identity exploration, relationship stress, or patterns rooted in family-of-origin experiences. My ideal clients are insightful and capable, but often hard on themselves. They want more confidence, clarity, and emotional stability. They’re ready to examine limiting beliefs, build healthier coping skills, and step into a stronger sense of self. If you’re motivated to better understand yourself, regulate your emotions, and create meaningful change in your life, we would likely be a strong fit.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and integrate DBT-informed skills to support individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and impulsivity. I focus on teaching practical skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to help clients manage intense emotions and respond thoughtfully rather than react. My approach is structured yet flexible, incorporating validation and dialectical thinking to promote emotional stability, self-control, and greater confidence in navigating life’s stressors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a core approach in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. CBT helps us understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and identify patterns that may be contributing to distress. My approach is collaborative and practical. I help clients challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, build healthier perspectives, and develop actionable coping skills. The goal is to create measurable, lasting change and strengthen confidence in navigating life’s challeng
