New to Grow
I'm a fully licensed therapist who found my calling in mental health after spending 14 years in education. My transition into therapy was deeply personal—having experienced the power of therapy myself during a period of grief, I developed a profound respect for the healing process. That experience continues to fuel my passion for helping clients navigate life’s challenges and achieve their personal goals. I don’t take it lightly that you’re here—seeking support is a courageous step. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. My commitment is to walk alongside you in this journey with the same care, empathy, and integrity that I would want for myself.
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and beginning to build a foundation of trust. I’ll ask questions to better understand what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to achieve, and any concerns or questions you may have about the process. We'll also set clear expectations and begin identifying goals so that our work together feels both meaningful and enjoyable. My aim is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly seen from the very beginning.
What sets my approach apart is my commitment to making therapy both effective and enjoyable. I work to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself while also being gently challenged to grow. Together, we’ll focus on building new, healthy habits that support your goals and overall well-being. I believe that progress comes from consistency, self-awareness, and a strong therapeutic relationship—so I strive to make our sessions feel like a meaningful part of your week, not just something to “get through.”
I work best with individuals who are motivated to grow, open to self-reflection, and ready to take meaningful steps toward change. Whether you're navigating grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a supportive and structured space to help you identify your goals and actively work toward them. My ideal client is someone who may not have all the answers but is willing to explore, do the work, and show up for themselves. If you're ready to engage in the process and take ownership of your healing journey, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I have used CBT for 10 years to assist clients in indentifying how our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors. Clients will identify thoughts that contrivute to negative or anxiety inducing emotions that influence behaviors and createa plan to minimize negative thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts. Often times these thoughts come from things we heard in our past that can even stem from childhood. Working together we can unpack all this and I can help you learn to move forward and leave those negative thoughts behind.
