New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, relationship conflict, addiction, or difficult life transitions, and they are looking for a safe space to process their experiences and find a path forward. I strive to create a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and building the confidence needed to make meaningful changes.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about the challenges you are currently facing, your goals for counseling, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I will ask questions about your background, relationships, and any experiences that may be contributing to concerns you are dealing with. This helps me gain a clearer understanding of your situation so we can begin developing a plan that supports your needs and goals. The first session is also an opportunity to ask questions and determine whether therapy is a good fit for you. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel safe sharing your experiences. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, exploring possible solutions, and discussing the next steps in your counseling journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being open and honest about their experiences. I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect. I am also skilled at helping clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships that may be contributing to emotional distress. Through thoughtful questions and collaborative exploration, I help clients gain insight and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Another strength I bring to therapy is my ability to balance compassion with practical guidance. While I provide emotional support, I also help clients develop concrete strategies and coping skills that can be applied in everyday life. I am committed to meeting clients where they are and supporting them as they work toward personal growth, stronger relationships, and greater emotional well-being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals and couples who are ready to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, relationship conflict, or life transitions and are looking for guidance and support as they move forward. I frequently work with individuals who are navigating challenges related to addiction recovery, emotional stress, grief, or difficulties in relationships. I also enjoy working with couples who are experiencing communication problems, trust issues, or emotional disconnection and want to strengthen their relationship. Clients who benefit most from working with me are open to self-reflection and willing to explore patterns that may be affecting their emotional well-being and relationships. Together, we focus on developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, and building stronger, more secure connections. Whether someone is seeking support for personal growth, relationship healing, or recovery from difficult experiences, my goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where meaningful change can occur.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When people experience anxiety, addiction triggers, or depression, their thoughts often become distorted or overly negative. These thoughts can influence how they feel and how they respond to situations. In therapy, I help clients learn to identify these patterns, understand how they affect their emotions and choices, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding.
Attachment-based
I incorporate Attachment-Based Therapy, which focuses on how early relationship experiences influence the way people connect, trust, and communicate in relationships today. Many clients struggle with patterns of emotional disconnection, fear of abandonment, or difficulty trusting others. Therapy helps clients understand these patterns and develop healthier ways of building secure relationships.
Couples Counseling
I work with partners to understand the patterns that are creating conflict, disconnection, or mistrust in the relationship. My approach focuses on helping couples slow down reactive patterns and learn healthier ways of communicating and supporting each other.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative counseling approach designed to help clients explore their feelings about change and strengthen their own motivation to move forward. In therapy, I use motivational interviewing to support clients who may feel unsure, stuck, or conflicted about making changes in their lives.
