Hi, I’m Shanee James, a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Revamped Mental Health Services. I specialize in helping children, teens, and young adults navigate challenges like anxiety, stress, Behavioral issues and life transitions using a supportive, solution-focused approach. My goal is to create a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped with practical tools for healing and growth.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space to share your story. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin identifying the challenges you’d like to work through. I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs and answer any questions you have about the therapy process. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
What sets my approach apart is my focus on practical, strengths-based therapy that helps clients feel empowered—not overwhelmed. I combine evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients gain insight and take actionable steps toward change. My sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on building skills clients can use in everyday life. Whether we’re working through anxiety, behavior challenges, or stress, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and capable of meaningful progress.
I’m best positioned to support children, teens, and young adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, life transitions, or emotional challenges. I work well with individuals who are ready to gain insight, build coping skills, and take practical steps toward change—even if they’re not sure where to start. Whether you're a parent seeking support for your child or a young adult navigating personal growth, I offer a compassionate, goal-oriented approach that focuses on your strengths and helps you move forward with confidence.
With CBT, I work with clients to explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, challenge negative thinking, and develop practical skills to manage anxiety, depression, and stress more effectively. I focus on building awareness and teaching tools clients can use beyond the therapy room.
Through Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I help clients uncover their strengths and envision a path forward. This approach is goal-oriented and empowering, emphasizing what’s working rather than focusing solely on problems. I support clients in identifying small, achievable steps that lead to positive outcomes.
