If life feels overwhelming right now, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re dealing with a lot of change, carrying stress that never really lets up, or trying to get through something hard like loss, anxiety, or ongoing health issues. Sometimes it helps to have a place where you can talk honestly without being judged or rushed. I offer a calm, supportive space to slow things down, sort through what’s been weighing on you, and figure out what you need next. Working together can look like having steady support, gaining practical ways to cope with day-to-day stress, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that feel grounded and capable, even when things are tough. If you’re curious about getting started, I’d be glad to connect. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if this feels like a good fit.
The first session is mostly about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you in, a bit about your background, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
One of my biggest strengths is helping people feel comfortable and truly cared about. I’m genuinely curious about people and their stories, and with over 15 years of experience, I bring a laid-back approach, a lot of empathy, and a good sense of humor to our work together. I meet people where they are and create a space that feels safe enough to open up, while still supporting real growth and change.
I am passionate about supporting adults as they cope with grief and loss, anxiety, or want to work through their trauma. I am trained in EMDR. My approach focuses on meeting clients where they are, offering empathy and understanding while helping them explore their experiences, strengthen coping skills, and find a sense of balance, healing, and renewed purpose in their lives.
EMDR is an approach that can help you work through difficult or painful experiences that may still be affecting you today. Sometimes, even when we know something is in the past, our mind and body can continue to react as though we are still in it. EMDR helps you process those experiences so they can feel less overwhelming and have less power over your thoughts, emotions, and everyday life. You don’t have to go into every detail of what happened, and you remain in control throughout the process. Over time, EMDR can help you feel more at ease with your past and more present in your life today.
Narrative therapy is a counseling approach that helps individuals understand and reshape the stories they tell about their lives. It is based on the idea that people make meaning of their experiences through personal narratives, and sometimes these stories become dominated by problems or negative beliefs about themselves. In narrative therapy, the therapist helps the person separate themselves from the problem (“the problem is the problem, not the person”). Clients explore how the problem has affected their life and identify times when they have successfully resisted or overcome it. Through this process, they can re-author their story, highlighting strengths, values, and abilities that may have been overlooked. Narrative therapy helps by empowering individuals to view themselves in a more positive and capable way, increasing their sense of control, resilience, and ability to create meaningful change in their lives.
Feeling stuck in painful thoughts or emotions? ACT helps you make space for those feelings instead of fighting them—so you can focus on what truly matters to you. Rather than trying to "fix" or avoid discomfort, ACT teaches you how to live more fully in the present moment, build psychological flexibility, and take meaningful steps toward your values.
