Hey there! I'm a licensed mental health counselor in North Carolina and certified in South Carolina. Helping people navigate through anxiety, adjustment issues, and depression is more than just a job for me—it's a passion. I genuinely want to see you live a happier, more fulfilling life and achieve the goals you've set for yourself. With over a decade of experience working with adults facing mental health and substance use challenges, I've seen firsthand how resilient people can be. I firmly believe that you're the expert of your own life. My role? To highlight your inherent strengths and help you build on them. My approach is all about focusing on what you're good at, rather than what you're struggling with. Together, we'll create a warm, supportive space where you can truly flourish and take control of your life. I'm currently open to new clients and accept a range of insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Health Care. I also offer self-pay options. Plus, I provide online therapy sessions for added convenience.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to counseling and what you would like to change. We’ll begin identifying your goals, explore the challenges you’ve been experiencing, and discuss how we can work together. You may also leave with an initial strategy or practical step you can begin using right away. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of what moving forward can look like.
With over a decade of experience in the field, my greatest strength as a therapist lies in my empathetic and holistic approach to mental health. I've had the privilege of working with individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes, from anxiety and depression to grief, self-esteem issues, and anger management. But beyond the techniques and the years, what really fuels my practice is the genuine care and concern I have for each person who walks through my door. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a transformative force. I'm not just a passive listener; I'm an active partner in your journey towards emotional well-being. Through a blend of evidence-based methods and compassionate engagement, I strive to create a sanctuary where clients can explore, heal, and grow.
My ideal client is an adult who may look like they’re managing everything on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or stuck on the inside. You may be navigating a major life transition, carrying too many responsibilities, struggling to set boundaries, or realizing that the way you’ve been coping just isn’t working anymore. I work best with clients who are ready to better understand what’s happening, develop practical tools, and make meaningful changes that support a healthier and more balanced life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a go-to approach for tackling issues like anxiety, depression, and anger. What's great about CBT is that it's backed by solid research and usually doesn't take years to see results. It equips you with handy skills to navigate life's ups and downs, pinpointing specific issues you're facing and helping you tackle them head-on. Plus, these are skills you'll keep for life, reducing the chance of old issues creeping back in. It's a versatile and empowering way to take charge of your mental health.

Talking about some things made me realize when when things started to change. Knowing I need to make time for myself but now I feel I really have to push myself in order to take a step forward.
