New to Grow
I'm a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, and I want to recognize how courageous it is to take that first step toward seeking support. It’s not easy, and I’m really glad you’re here. Over the past 6 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of their most vulnerable moments. Lately, my focus has been on supporting individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, and the uncertainty that often comes with major life transitions. My goal is to create a space that feels safe and grounded in trust.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is all about connection. I want to learn about your story, your experiences, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll also take a few moments to review my practice policies and your client rights so you feel informed and supported from the start. To help us make the most of our time together, please make sure all required paperwork is completed before the intake. This helps ensure you understand the process and allows us to focus fully on you during our session. I believe in building trust and moving at a pace that feels right for you. This is your space, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a bilingual psychotherapist, I’m honored to support clients in both Spanish and English, with a special commitment to serving the Latinx community. I create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore, heal, and grow. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I’m attentive, direct when it’s helpful, and always focused on empowering clients by honoring their resilience, strengths, and cultural identity.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and women’s mental health, including perinatal and postpartum concerns. I also support clients facing first‑generation identity challenges and the unique demands of single parenting. I’m honored to support clients who are ready to invest in themselves and begin this meaningful work, and who appreciate a collaborative, supportive healing process.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational treatment modality in my clinical work. CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and modify maladaptive thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress. I use CBT to treat a wide range of conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related symptoms.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult emotions, clarify personal values, and commit to meaningful action.
Motivational Interviewing
I regularly use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients in exploring ambivalence and strengthening their internal motivation for change. MI is a collaborative, client-centered approach that helps individuals clarify their values and make decisions aligned with their goals. In my practice, I use MI techniques such as open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summarizing to foster autonomy and build rapport.
