I work with people to achieve their stated goals as well as to reach their fullest potential. I am a partner with my clients in their care, and therapy only ever moves at the client's pace. From intake to treatment planning to ongoing work, I find that partnership is a positive way to help clients work through their presenting issues, and to find ways to improve their lives overall.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will have a lot to cover in that first session, the most important of which is to learn whether we are a good fit to move forward together. Sometimes that takes longer than the first session, but we start there. I will have a lot of information to garner from you - to learn your history and what brings you to where you are presently, as well as to work to develop goals for where we want to go together in this process. It may sound overwhelming, but I promise I will be right there with you all along the way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I very much enjoy what I do. Working with others to help them achieve their goals is a privilege - one I never take for granted. I work to maintain humility in my work with my clients, as I learn from and alongside of them throughout our time together during their journeys through therapy and life. Coming to the therapy 'table' as a partner with the client is key. I may know a fair amount about treatment modalities and techniques, but my clients are the experts in this process. I could never know as much about them as they know about themselves.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am not a therapist who turns clients away, other than when their presenting issues include things that I am not qualified to treat - such as eating disorders. However, I do still see people with these issues, but work with them on other things that they also present with alongside those - such as concurrent depression or anxiety. So, if we get started and find that the fit is not there, I will partner with you to find a therapist who is a better fit for you, to ensure a smooth transition so as to not leave you alone at any point in your therapeutic process.
