You may be confused about where to begin...there are lots of counselors with all different styles. Maybe you see so much on TikTok about therapy, but you aren't sure if you need shadow work, CBT, EMDR or DBT. I have good news! You don't need to know! Its great to have an understanding of modern therapy tools and terms, but it is NOT necessary. You only need open your mind to new things (maybe more than a few times!) and learn to listen to your instincts. That's all! It might take a few tries, but it will be worth it- and so are you!
A little about me- I became a licensed professional counselor in 2002. Since then I've worked with many different types of folks in many settings. I particularly enjoy working with young adults through middle age.
