As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with more than 15 years of experience, I work with adults and couples to help them build healthier relationships, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also have experience supporting individuals during the prenatal and postpartum periods, recognizing the unique emotional and life adjustments that can come with expanding your family.

First session

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools to help you move toward your goals. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring treatment to meet your unique needs, strengths, and values.

Strengths

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly, explore what's holding you back, and learn skills you can use in everyday life. Together, we'll work to reduce stress, improve communication and relationships, strengthen resilience, and help you feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with adults who are ready to better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or a lack of confidence. They often find themselves overwhelmed by stress, navigating major life transitions, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of the people I work with have difficulty setting healthy boundaries, prioritizing their own needs, or communicating effectively in their relationships. They may be experiencing burnout, people-pleasing, or self-doubt, and want to develop healthier coping skills and a stronger sense of self.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In CBT, we work together to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, explore whether they are accurate or helpful, and replace them with more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. You'll also learn practical coping skills that can help you manage difficult emotions, reduce stress, and respond to challenges more effectively.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

The aim of ACT isn't to "think positively" or make uncomfortable feelings disappear. Instead, it's to help you build psychological flexibility—the ability to handle life's challenges while continuing to live in a way that reflects what is most important to you. Together, we'll create practical strategies that support lasting change, helping you live a richer, more meaningful life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a practical, skills-based approach that helps people better manage intense emotions, cope with stress, and improve relationships. While DBT was originally developed for specific mental health concerns, many of its skills are helpful for anyone who wants to build healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Together, we'll identify the skills that best fit your unique needs and practice using them in everyday life, helping you feel more confident, connected, and in control.
