About me

Hi, I'm Tara, and my journey to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker has been a winding one. I grew up in California, served in the U.S. Coast Guard, studied abroad, and have three adult daughters. I completed my MSW at the University of New Hampshire and have had the privilege of providing mental health support and counseling to individuals from diverse backgrounds. My professional background includes working for a non-profit, providing therapy in residential, outpatient, and private practice settings.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where your story is honored, and your strengths are recognized. We'll talk about your goals, answer any questions you have, and begin building a foundation for meaningful, personalized work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once, this is your journey, and we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am dedicated to helping people manage stress, anxiety, heal from trauma and abuse, build motivation and self-confidence, and navigate life’s changes. My style is supportive, approachable, and down-to-earth. I’m here to offer genuine guidance and understanding. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused techniques to empower you with practical tools that foster resilience and personal growth. I see you as the expert of your own story, with unique strengths that guide you through life’s challenges. Seeking support is a courageous step, and I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you create the fulfilling life you envision and deserve.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

As a military veteran and high school social worker, I am drawn to working with teens, young adults, women, couples, and those connected to our military and first responders. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready to make sense of things, I offer a space where you can show up as you are and begin to sort through what’s weighing on you. Whether you're navigating identity, relationships, trauma, or transitions, I meet you with compassion, curiosity, and a focus on what healing and growth can look like for you
