LCSW, 4 years of experience
I’m a licensed clinical social worker passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and find healing. I specialize in providing Grief and trauma therapy using approaches like mind body connection,Acceptance and commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My goal is to create a safe, understanding space where you can feel comfortable to explore your emotions, speak your thoughts and learn ways to manage your emotions, stress, anxiety and other struggles that may be going on and achieve meaningful growth.
In your first session with me, you can expect to have an open and honest conversation about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. We’ll work together to explore your challenges, goals, and concerns, and I’ll help you feel comfortable by creating a safe, non-judgmental space. By the end of the session, we’ll begin to identify the steps needed to start moving forward and develop a plan that aligns with your needs.
I believe my greatest strength as a provider lies in creating a space where you can feel truly safe to open up and explore your story. I meet clients where they are, honoring their pace, and incorporating approaches such as grief work, trauma processing, narrative-based work, and mirror work to support healing and growth. My training in Mind Body Medicine, Grief therapy, Trauma processing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy allows me to offer personalized strategies that empower clients to navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
I work with individuals 16 and older who are eager to improve their lives but feel stuck or uncertain about how to move forward. Many of my clients struggle with feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or lost in areas such as career, relationships, or life direction especially after a big change such as a death of a love one or divorce. I also enjoy supporting older adults who are seeking to rediscover a sense of meaning and purpose in their lives. Together, we will explore your emotions , past and present, develop healthier coping strategies, and find ways to align daily actions with personal values. My approach offers a safe and warm space where you can process your experiences, gain clarity, and build the resilience you need to create the life you envision.
I integrate the mind-body approach by helping clients explore the connection between their physical sensations and emotional well-being to promote healing and self-awareness. Through techniques like guided imagery, progressive muscle relaxation, and breathwork, I support clients in managing stress and processing trauma effectively. This approach allows clients to reconnect with their bodies as a source of strength and resilience.
I incorporate mindfulness by teaching clients to stay present and grounded through techniques such as meditation, mindful breathing, and grounding exercises. These tools empower clients to regulate their emotions and reduce anxiety by focusing on the here and now. Mindfulness is woven into sessions to encourage self-compassion and improve overall mental clarity.
Using ACT, I guide clients to embrace their thoughts and emotions rather than resist them, fostering psychological flexibility. Together, we identify values and create actionable goals that align with those values, encouraging clients to live a more meaningful life. This approach emphasizes acceptance and commitment as tools for navigating challenges and building resilience.
Grief is a deeply personal journey and there is no right or wrong way to experience it. Whether you are coping with the death of a loved one, a major life change or the loss of a relationship. My goal is to walk alongside you through your grief, helping you to understand it, and carry it in a new way, one that allows you to reconnect with hope, love and life again.
