I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of South Florida and my Master of Social Work from Walden University. Originally from New Jersey, I earned my B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I moved to New York City in 1997 and completed my MSW at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. In 2000, I completed a certification in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Post Graduate Center for Mental Health. Immediately after moving to Florida later that year in 2002, I completed additional coursework at Barry University and obtained my social work licensure in Florida. I have worked with children, adolescents and young adults in several areas utilizing a diverse spectrum of training for 25 years. These include loss and bereavement, trauma, crisis, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and adjustment disorders. I started my private practice in 2003 in Miami. Using my background in several orientations and theories, along with experience gained over a long clinical social work career, I conduct comprehensive assessments that best address areas of emotional and behavioral concerns. I stay up to date on all the most effective training and information and aim to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment by meeting each individual where they are in their struggles and development.
