Hello, I am Andrea Virdo, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. In addition to my counseling credentials, I hold certifications as a Life Coach, Entrepreneur and Business Life Coach, Health and Wellness Life Coach, and Certified Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapist Coach Practitioner. My professional journey as a Mental Health Counselor and coach has provided me with the privilege of engaging in diverse environments. These encompass a psychiatric unit within a hospital, as well as profit and non-profit organizations, thereby allowing me to engage with different populations. My areas of expertise encompass the provision of comprehensive treatment for conditions such as Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, and Addictions, among other complex disorders. I have diligently pursued extensive training and have secured relevant certifications to bolster my competence. Central to my practice is a holistic methodology. I approach individuals with a multi-faceted perspective, taking into consideration the presenting challenges and how they have developed but also into the broader context that frames their experiences. My therapeutic interventions draw from a spectrum of evidence-based modalities and techniques tailored to each client's distinct needs and requirements. Adherence to state regulations and ethical standards is paramount in my practice, and I am proud to offer my services proficiently in both English and Spanish. Best regards, Andrea
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Usually, in the first session, I gather information and start building a relationship with the client. After the first session, the client and I create a new path and work collaboratively so the clients can identify their strengths to overcome the issue/s and start the process of meeting their goals.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
My approach is holistic and eclectic. I fusion different techniques and theories and provide compassionate understanding in times of hardship and adversity. The purpose is that the client can learn and acquire new tools and techniques and apply them when needed to ultimately get where they want to be.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Working with different modalities facilitates and integrates different parts of the puzzle. The client is not a passive recipient of treatment, the client is the expert in his/her life. The ultimate goal is to provide a safe space for clients to attend to their issues while experiencing new relational experiences and getting where they want to be. I treat different Depressive and Anxiety disorders and addictions from 18 above.
