I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Tennessee with over 10 years experience. I have worked with patients with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, relationship problems, and sleep difficulties. I have helped people with chronic pain and disability. I have also assisted individuals and couples improve their communication and relationships. My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and aimed at empowering my clients to make positive changes in their lives. My approach combines motivational interviewing with cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused techniques to help individuals achieve their goals. I work with each client to write an individualized, mutually agreed upon treatment plan based on empirically supported techniques. It takes tremendous strength and courage to ask for help with making positive changes. I'm honored to be a part of that process. I look forward to working with you!
While I may ask you some standardized questions during a first session, my primary focus is to better understand what brings you to therapy and how I can best support you in your personal goals.
Previous clients have commented how much they feel I truly care. Each client is not just a number to me.
I have utilized cognitive behavioral therapy to address many mental health issues throughout my career. My goal is to help patients better understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all influence one another. Change can occur when we focus on changing any or all three of these.
