The great poet Rumi wrote "out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." That field is a space where calm, love and forgiveness exist. There is no judgement, only acceptance here. And in that soul space you are free to find those fragments of you that are lost, and begin to piece them back together. I'm licensed in both Florida and Michigan. As a licensed clinical therapist and licensed substance abuse counselor, I have experience running very powerful substance abuse and co-occurring groups. Prior to that, I worked as a social worker in Flint, Michigan for many years as a therapist, caseworker and in crisis intervention. My experiences have given me such a rich experience and exposure to the many factors that contribute to our personal mental health and well-being. I've been fortunate to work with people in their homes, in the community, with their families as well as the private practice setting which have given me a much richer experience than just an of an office setting alone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Rapport is the most important thing when entering into therapy. In the first session I'm getting to know you and we're establishing a connection and goal setting our journey together. What you'll take away from sessions from me is feeling understood, and greater insight into the characters in your life, your relationships, your beliefs and patterns and we will take these things piece by piece and create harmony within you once again.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Therapy, Motivational Interviewing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm NOT a by the book kind of girl! I use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, REBT, behavioral therapy, eye movement therapy (like EMDR only different)... but mostly what we're going to use is what is going to work for you with where you are at. And that can change day to day on this crazy journey called life. Spirituality: whether we need to pray or talk about your sun sign being affected by Mercury retrograde, I'll go where you need to go.
