Hi, I’m Juliana, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and challenging relationship dynamics. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can safely explore your emotions, better understand your experiences, and begin to heal from past and present difficulties. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and able to create meaningful and lasting change in your life and relationships.
In our first session, we will take time to explore what brings you to therapy and what challenges you are currently facing. I may ask questions to better understand your history, emotional experiences, and goals, but you are always in control of the pace of the session. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so my priority is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing only what you are ready to discuss. There is no pressure to open up too quickly. Over time, we will work together to identify patterns, increase emotional awareness, and begin developing practical tools to help you manage stress, improve relationships, and feel more grounded. My goal is to help you feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout your therapeutic journey.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to create a warm, collaborative, and supportive environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique experiences, values, and needs, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I focus on helping clients identify emotional patterns, understand the root of their struggles, and develop practical coping strategies they can use in daily life. I also place strong emphasis on building emotional awareness, improving communication, and strengthening relationships. My goal is to support clients not only in managing their current challenges, but also in creating long-term, meaningful change that helps them feel more confident, balanced, and empowered in their lives.
My ideal clients are individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or disconnected from themselves. They may struggle with anxiety, difficulty setting boundaries, or carrying the impact of past trauma, grief, or emotionally challenging experiences. I am especially well-positioned to support people who are ready to understand their emotional patterns and begin making meaningful changes in their lives and relationships, even if they are not sure where to start yet. Many of my clients feel like they have been “holding everything together” for a long time and are now reaching a point where they want relief, clarity, and emotional balance. They are often insightful, motivated for change, and looking for a safe space where they can slow down, process what they are feeling, and begin healing at a deeper level. In therapy, their goals often include improving emotional regulation, building healthier relationships, increasing self-awareness, and feeling more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or low mood. Together, we work on developing healthier perspectives and practical coping strategies that empower clients to manage their emotions and behaviors more effectively. My approach with CBT is collaborative and goal-oriented, focusing on creating lasting changes that improve daily functioning and overall well-being.
Positive Psychology
In my practice, I integrate Positive Psychology to help clients recognize their strengths, cultivate resilience, and build on what is already working well in their lives. Rather than only focusing on difficulties, I encourage clients to explore sources of joy, meaning, and fulfillment. This approach supports clients in developing greater optimism, self-confidence, and satisfaction in both personal and professional areas of life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness techniques to support clients in becoming more present, grounded, and compassionate toward themselves. Through guided exercises, breathing practices, and mindful awareness, clients learn to reduce stress, regulate emotions, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and calmness. Mindfulness in therapy helps clients break cycles of overthinking and develop a more balanced relationship with their thoughts and feelings.
