Have you found yourself frustrated or anxious with the life that surrounds you? Life can get pretty crazy and unfortunately we can't control what happens around or even to us. But we CAN control how we respond and choose to cope. I aim to help my clients realize what they can control in their current situation(s) and gain the tools needed to be more successful in their futures! I have my Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Through REBT and Solution Focused Therapy, I am here to empower my clients to make achievable short and long term goals. I have also worked with clients on life skills and career counseling.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will not only be casual, but will go at the pace you set as the client. I will ask what brings you to therapy and to tell me about yourself. I know that trust takes time, and I am willing to be patient. I offer not only a safe space but also a judgement free environment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am very empathetic and compassionate about others. Life is hard and I feel I have been given a heart and desire to be a safe space for people. I am judgement free and allow people to truly make change at their own paces.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I'm passionate about the very fragile Perinatal/Postpartum Stages in life. I aspire to be a safe space for mother's and other caregivers as they navigate the first year of life after a new child and help them to accept their new "normal". I want to help my clients realize how much strength they do have to make real and lasting changes in their lives!

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use multiple parts of different treatment methods, but this is the one I have the most experience with. Life is fast moving and although therapy takes time, I feel it best to set small and measurable goals to show someone's progress.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I feel our emotions can dictate a lot of the things we struggle with. I use this treatment method to help clients identify where they need change, what is the root problems they are facing, and how to replace it with more positive thoughts and beliefs.
