I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, supported, and understood. My goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical skills to help you move forward. I tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I use a variety of evidence-based techniques to find what works best for you and your goals. My experience includes working in public and nonprofit mental health settings with both children and adults. If it is important to you, I am also happy to incorporate your Christian faith into counseling while blending faith-based principles with evidence-based care.
Before scheduling your first appointment, I offer a brief 10-15 minute consultation call. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, what you hope to accomplish, and any questions you may have. It also allows you to get a sense of my personality and counseling style to determine whether we're a good fit. During our first full session, we'll talk about your current concerns, your personal history, and how these challenges are affecting your daily life. We'll also discuss the goals you have for therapy. By the end of the session, I'll share an individualized plan designed around your needs so we can begin working toward meaningful progress together.
Clients often describe my approach as warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, knowing this is a space free from judgment. My style is conversational, supportive, and collaborative. When appropriate, I will gently challenge unhelpful patterns while encouraging growth, and I believe humor can also have a meaningful place in the healing process. I also enjoy helping clients understand why certain strategies work. Along the way, I'll provide practical tools and explain the reasoning behind them so you can feel confident using what you learn outside of our sessions.
I enjoy working with people who are ready to make positive changes, even if they're unsure where to begin. You don't have to have all the answers before starting therapy. If you're willing to be open, honest, and reflective throughout the process, we'll work together to build new perspectives and healthier ways of coping. I see therapy as a partnership where we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My role is to support, encourage, and guide you while we work toward the goals that matter most to you.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an effective method for various mental health conditions such as anxiety, ADHD and trauma. In practice, clients benefit from cognitive restructuring when negative thoughts are persistent. Behavior activation is beneficial for treating depression. In session, we may practice strategies based on real life situations.
Incorporating a Christian perspective in counseling is beneficial to treat the whole person. I have experience working with people to address decision-making, managing stress and anxiety, discovering peace, combatting depression and more. I incorporate evidence-based practices with faith-based components to build upon your spiritual life.
DBT is skills-based and people like the practical steps that are embedded. I have experience using DBT to help people address distress tolerance, emotional regulation and mindfulness.
SFBT is useful for clients who are short on time and highly motivated to build upon strengths. This method is effective for people who are self-aware and insightful!
