Yes, life can be difficult, and you're here looking for help. For 35 years I've helped people like you look at their lives. I've helped them find ways to directly look at the pain, fear, anger, shame, depression, trauma, and other struggles that feel overwhelming. More importantly, I've helped people move beyond today's focus on pain and struggle to discover new ways to manage their lives, to suffer less, to feel more space, trust, and aliveness.

My name is Thomas Barhorst, and I started counseling in 2004. In addition to having a small private practice shortly after I received my Missouri license in 2007; I have worked as a K-12 school counselor, in substance use treatment, in a residential treatment setting, in a community mental health agency, helping individuals with disabilities transition into the workforce, and helping graduate students manage stress in their professional programs (i.e. medical school, dental school, etc.). Recently, I have begun providing telehealth therapy after obtaining licensure in Arizona and California. Outside of work, spending time with family and friends is important to me. I also enjoy stories, laughing, listening to stand-up comedy, cooking, playing sports like wallyball and ultimate frisbee on a non-competitive level, watching film noir and psychological thrillers, recently had the opportunity to take my car to a racetrack, and have played bass guitar in a rock band.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with clients from all paths of life, helping them with life transitions, burnout, identity and sexuality, relationship issues, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and co-occurring disorders such as alcohol/substance abuse and chronic pain. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to establish a safe place for you to explore and process your struggles and challenges. I have a warm, compassionate, relational approach and will help you broaden your perspective and move toward changes that will make life more meaningful for you. I will embark on this journey and walk alongside you, both supporting you as well as challenging you to grow and create a fulfilling life. All of my work is trauma focused and based on mindfulness and compassion practices. Fundamentally, I work from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy perspective and integrate parts work, compassion and EMDR. I am originally from Austria, which has provided me with a unique perspective that is rooted in a collectivist culture and graduated in an individualistic culture. In addition, I have traveled the world extensively, which has impacted my worldview tremendously. This viewpoint has provided me with insight into and understanding of individuals’ lives from a variety of backgrounds. My love for nature has informed my practice to a degree I would have never imagined. I perceive mindfulness meditation as much more than sitting still for 30 minutes and will help you find ways to integrate what you learn into your daily life in a way that fits you. Nature doesn’t judge but rather it exists fully. Mindfulness is not a skill, it’s a lifestyle.

Craig Steckowski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based out of California and serves clients in both California and Virginia. He served in the Marine Corps prior to attending Alliant University in Irvine, CA for his therapy Master’s degree. After school, Craig then went on to work in Orange County. He was an advocate with the court system for mental health treatment and rehabilitation from chemical dependency. He also spent some time working for an agency that provided support to the homeless population and later, in a community clinic in New Hampshire where he helped to create services that met the needs of the community. Each of these experiences helped to shape Craig’s philosophy toward therapy, which is that therapy should be a non-judgemental, welcoming space for his clients to be their unfiltered, authentic selves. “I just truly want therapy to be a place that you look forward to and value,” he wants clients to know. “It’s your space, and nothing you say, do, or experience is going to change my perception of you.” His main goal as a therapist is to connect with his clients and offer them a place of solid, consistent, and positive support that they can depend on. He prioritizes maintaining a low enough caseload that clients can maintain a regular therapy schedule with him. He also encourages his clients to reach out between sessions if need be. “If you need me to be your hype man and help you through something, I’ll be there.” In his free time, Craig focuses on doing things that help rejuvenate him which includes spending time outside and quality time with his wife. He also regularly seeks professional support from a trusted mentor in the field to ensure he is practicing mindfully and ethically.

I'm Sheldon like the TV show! (Big Bang Theory). I help analytical high-achieving adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety and depression untangle their inner world and reconnect with their deeper self-using insight-driven therapy, dream exploration, and a creative lens that helps them uncover what's been buried beneath the surface. Do you often say, "I'm successful on the outside but exhausted and anxious inside," "overthinking everything, but still feeling stuck," or being in a "constant sense of restlessness or dissatisfaction," or being a person who "struggles to access or name emotions clearly." I help clients have greater awareness and emotional clarity and begin to feel grounded, self-trusting and more internally connected. I hope to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms through deeper insight and ability to recognize and break unconscious patterns. I help clients discover meaning through creative exploration, and dream work. I want clients to increase their confidence in navigating relationships and decisions and moving from analysis paralysis to self-acceptance and expression. My areas of expertise are in Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Mental Illness, Risk Assessment, Trauma, PTSD and Substance Abuse Disorders.

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not like yourself lately? You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Hi, I’m Gustavo, a licensed therapist in California. I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and patterns that keep them feeling stuck—especially when stress, relationships, or major life changes start to feel overwhelming. A lot of the people I work with feel like their mind won’t shut off, like they’re constantly overthinking or carrying stress that doesn’t go away. Others feel burned out, unmotivated, or disconnected from themselves. Some find themselves repeating the same patterns in relationships or coping in ways that don’t actually help long-term. If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. In our work together, we’ll focus on practical strategies that help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions. I’ll help you build confidence, set clear boundaries, improve communication, and start breaking the patterns that keep you stuck. My approach is direct, supportive, and goal-oriented. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll help you understand what’s going on and give you tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t need to have everything figured out to begin.

As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my deep empathy, active listening, and a commitment to mindful curiosity. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where your unique story can be truly heard and valued. Rather than simply diagnosing a problem, I listen for the 'hidden' stories of your strengths and values that often get overshadowed. My approach to active listening is about more than just understanding; it’s about standing alongside you to deconstruct the challenges you face and uncover the skills you already possess. Together, we will collaborate to rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and the reclamation of your personal agency.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re not totally sure what to say or where to begin. My job is to make that part easier. I’m a licensed therapist who works with people dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, low motivation, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some clients come in with something specific going on, while others just know something feels off and want to figure it out. Both are completely welcome here. In our work together, we focus on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life and how to create real, noticeable changes—not just talk in circles. I aim to keep sessions practical, collaborative, and grounded so you leave with clarity and a better sense of direction. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or analyzed. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan before starting—we’ll figure that out together. If you’re looking for therapy that feels straightforward, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward, I’d be glad to work with you.

My therapeutic style is warm and compassionate, as well as active and engaged. I continue to be inspired by the strength and resilience of my clients. Through a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship, we will work together to promote insight into your current struggles, process your thoughts and emotions, and help you heal from past experiences. I value being authentic with my clients. It’s important to me that you are able to sense that what I’m saying is truly how I feel. I want to know all of you. This means not only hearing about what brought you into my office, but also about the aspects of your life that bring you joy. Humor frequently appears in my sessions. The work in therapy can be challenging, but I believe it’s also important to be able to laugh with my clients, too. I hold a doctoral degree from the clinical Psy.D. program at William James College, a Master’s of Education degree in Human Sexuality from Widener University, as well as a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. I have received training and supervision from specialists in addiction treatment. I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing. I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come. I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.

My name is Christopher, and I believe life can be better than what we have adapted to and gotten used to. Over the years I first began working with the indigent population and there I learned about the connections between substance abuse, mental illness and trauma. I then worked more with addiction when I worked with people struggling to stop substance abuse and once again, I recognized a connection between these behaviors and trauma. Finally, before completing the last stages of earning hours for my license I worked with children and families and noticed the way personal trauma experienced by adults effected parenting and family relationships. Helping people address anxiety and depression symptoms independent of a trauma made improved my abilities who help people that deal with those symptoms along with other trauma indicators.

I am a licensed therapist with a background in clinical leadership, having served in management and director-level roles overseeing behavioral health programs. I have extensive experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, including those in high-acuity settings, where I’ve been responsible for program development, clinical oversight, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, ethical care. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a range of settings including community mental health, managed care, and structured treatment programs, where I supported large patient populations and helped implement systems focused on outcomes, stability, and continuity of care. This experience has shaped my ability to work with complex clinical presentations, crisis situations, and individuals navigating significant life disruption. In my clinical work, I help clients who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential concerns—especially those struggling with questions of meaning, identity, and direction. I integrate evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based therapy to provide both practical tools and deeper, insight-oriented work. My style is direct, collaborative, and grounded. I bring both clinical expertise and real-world leadership experience into the therapy space, helping clients move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

I have been working with and supporting children, teens, and adults for twenty-seven years through various methods, including child therapy and individual therapy. I enjoy helping others conquer anxiety and depressive symptoms, and I focus on coaching them to better understand their choices and behaviors. When we find our inner authentic self and begin to find the courage to share that truth, we start to balance our lives through family therapy, where we truly discover our strength.

If you're looking for a holistic, decolonized and evidence based approach at managing your mental health symptoms: you've come to the right place. My approach in therapy is centered around the transformative power of creativity and connectivity. I believe that healing and growth are best achieved through breaking generational patterns, self reflection, and strengthening the skills to navigate the systems in which we live. I take a relational and evidence based approach to treatment, center your voice, and guide a process of co-creating your healing journey. I encourage clients to explore their inner worlds and express themselves authentically; while also establishing solid supports, and grounding awareness within the context of their lives.

I am Dr. Audrey Levy. I live on a boat, and my private practice hours are available 24/7 by appointment only. I also make house calls. I am experienced in helping my clients deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction, Loss and Grief Recovery, Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Crisis Counseling. I provide a calm, empathetic, and nurturing environment where you will feel heard, and most importantly, understood. Together we will work on ways to help you understand your feelings and compulsions. My grieving clients experience closure through writing letters to their loved ones who have died. This letter writing is effective for all forms of loss. Reading the letters aloud is very healing as it encourages acceptance, and permits moving on to build a life filled with love and laughter. As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." I hope you have an opportunity to read my books and that I get to help you.

My name is David Haro. I am a millennial Hispanic man born and raised in Southern California, and I found my passion for mental health by growing up with a family member who suffered from schizophrenia. I did not know it at the time, but those years of trauma shaped me into the caring, empathetic, and compassionate human I feel I have become today. I try to meet my clients where they are and try to help them grow as much as they are able to in the time that we work together. I employ a Person-centered approach where the client is the expert, and I am a guide on their journey of self-discovery and healing. I look forward to working with you!
