My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I incorporate evidence-based strategies to build coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and increase resilience.
I value creating a therapeutic environment that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and respectful. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, gain confidence in managing challenges, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Welcome to my practice! I enjoy helping people heal, which can mean a variety of things. You may need help with coping skills to deal with anxiety, depression, or increasing emotional regulation so you feel more at ease in life. We might need to heal because we've lost someone we've loved, or maybe you've lost a sense of yourself due to trauma, career change, divorce, or family restructuring. Life transitions can be profoundly devastating but also may be a time of valuable change. I enjoy helping people develop into a version of themselves that aligns with their sense of authenticity. From this place, we work to grow a stronger sense of self, where you feel more confident as you navigate life's many challenges.

Hi! I'm Dr. Chelsea Acker, a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise working with children and adolescents. I'm experienced with a range of concerns, but I have specialized training in treating trauma, suicidality, and early psychosis.
In 2019, I graduated from the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium, where I trained at the Stanford School of Medicine's psychiatry department and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital's program at a local high school. I attended internship (our version of residency, more or less) at the UC Davis Medical Center, where I received world-class training in the treatment of childhood trauma and early psychosis, both separately and together. I then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Chicago Child Trauma Center, where I continued to build my expertise in the treatment of childhood trauma. After that, I worked at Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, for two and a half years, where I specialized in working with children and adolescents with complex, persistent symptom presentations, who had often been hospitalized multiple times for safety concerns and struggled to make progress with previous therapists.
Greetings!

Together, we'll explore your concerns and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for things to feel different, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care. Licensed in California since 2005, I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety or depression, trauma, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I value spending time outdoors, staying physically active, and being present with my family. I’m a father of five—one son and four daughters, including two stepdaughters—which has given me a deep, lived understanding of blended family dynamics, parenting, and the complexities of family relationships across different stages of development. I enjoy fly fishing, snowboarding, working out, and other outdoor pursuits that help me stay grounded and present—values I often encourage clients to cultivate in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable to them.
After studying Social Work in New York City, I worked in various hospital systems before rounding out my education in a post-graduate training program in my native California. In 2020 I went into private practice in Oakland where I’ve enjoyed helping people learn about themselves and what they want out of life and how to move towards that richer way of being.

My name is William Money, a licensed marriage and family therapist in California. I have 8 years in the field and I love my job. I am not the person to give advice or tell you how to live your life. I will not tell you I know everything because I don’t. I will meet you wherever you are therapeutically no matter where you are in your journey. I am not judgmental and I have experience with lots of things so if you feel we are a good fit please reach out to me to schedule our first appointment.
Hi, I’m Helen. I’m a Filipina-American therapist, and I work with Asian and immigrant women, postpartum moms, and Christian couples who are used to holding a lot—quietly, responsibly, and often without much space for themselves. On the outside, you’re capable and dependable. But internally, it can feel like anxiety, pressure, and a kind of exhaustion that doesn’t always get named. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to carry all of that alone.
You set the pace. I’ll gently guide you, offer tools, and help you make sense of what you’re feeling—so things start to feel a little lighter, a little more grounded, and a lot more sustainable. I support you through postpartum anxiety, cultural expectations, perfectionism, and that deep sense of over-responsibility—so you can reconnect with yourself in a way that feels calm, steady, and true.
For couples, we slow things down together. We look at the patterns, create more understanding, and strengthen your connection—while honoring your faith and the values that matter most to you. Because at the end of the day, this is your life. And my role is to support you in living it in a way that actually feels aligned, meaningful, and like your own.

I am passionate about the impact of spirituality in mental health therapy. As an attachment informed humanist LPCC, I consider the bio-psycho-social-spiritual/existential condition of the folks with whom I work. Healing is a matter of integrating the disparate and fragmented parts of life. Empathy, acceptance, positive regard, and genuineness are crucial elements for effective therapy and these are the characteristics I seek to cultivate in my practice. As far as a specific toolkit, CBT and Motivational Interviewing are the primary evidence based methodologies I employ to be with people in their self-paced, goal oriented healing efforts. Those who want to examine the angst, anxiety, disquiet, and friction in their lives will find a fellow traveler in me.

Hi, I’m Douglas—a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles. I help adults navigate challenges like anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions, using mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques to build confidence, resilience, and clarity.
Hello, I am Jennifer. I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting people of all ages through various transitions and challenges. I offer a unique approach to mental health that integrates clinical therapy with moderate physical exercise in the great outdoors. I focus on helping people with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress/burnout, infertility and alcohol misuse while increasing nourishing habits such as exercise, sleep, nutrition, and other practices that reduce symptoms and calm the nervous system.
Have you ever wished you could get in-person therapy without having to sit in an office with the therapist? Do you feel too busy to schedule both therapy and exercise into one day and wish the two could be combined? If so, then "walk and talk" could be a good fit for you. I offer the opportunity to receive counseling or coaching while outside in nature and moving your body. Research demonstrates that both exercise and spending time outdoors in sunlight and green spaces provides a reduction in symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and stress while improving mood overall. My unique "walk and talk" method addresses all three aspects of healing and growth: physical, psychological, and spiritual.
Have you found yourself wondering if you are drinking too much and/or too often? Are you tired of experiencing low energy, anxiety, depression, disrupted sleep, sugar cravings, etc. and you wish you had a coach to support you as you navigate a new way of living alcohol free? If you are sober curious, I am here to help!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC), and Personality Disorder Treatment Provider (C-PD), I create a safe, supportive space where clients can navigate complex trauma, betrayal trauma, and family-of-origin dysfunction. I specialize in helping individuals heal from environments marked by abuse, fear, instability, coercive control, neglect, poor boundaries, and addiction—often resulting in intergenerational trauma and nervous system-level injury.
My focus includes recovery from narcissistic abuse, enmeshments, and trauma bonds. Additionally, as a Dialectical Behavior Therapy Clinician (C-DBT), Mood Disorder Professional (CMDP), and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), I help clients validate their experiences, normalize emotions, and build resilience.
I grew up in an environment where mental health was never discussed; this sparked an early interest in the unspoken challenges I observed. As a dual major in psychology and sociology, my coursework was impactful, and the lessons continued in graduate school, where I earned dual master’s degrees in social work and public administration. I interned at a domestic abuse shelter, a short-term residential crisis center, and a community behavioral health facility, and completed specialized trauma-informed care training.
My professional experience includes working at a nonprofit supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, serving as a behavioral specialist for children with autism, ADHD, and adjustment challenges, and supervising social workers at county behavioral health agencies. I have also managed case management teams assisting individuals with catastrophic illnesses, and led project teams of case investigators, contact tracers, data analysts, and public health nurses responding to infectious disease outbreaks. I remain deeply committed to helping clients heal from psychological, emotional, and other forms of abuse and mental injury, as these challenges can affect every facet of life and well-being.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, I help children, teens, and adults manage anxiety, navigate life transitions, and build coping skills using evidence-based approaches like CBT and trauma-informed care. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can work through challenges, strengthen self-esteem, and foster healthy relationships.
You may be coming to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or worn down by patterns that keep repeating in your life or relationships—or by a situation that has disrupted your sense of stability. You might be navigating a loss, a major transition, or ongoing pressure that has left you depleted. Your body and emotions may be holding more than words alone can explain. I offer a relational, trauma-informed space where we can slow down together and create more choice in otherwise habitual patterns of responding. Over time, many people feel more at ease in their bodies, clearer about their needs, and more confident in how they relate to others and themselves.
I’m Dr. John Biroc. I’ve been a professional baseball player, professional actor on stage and screen, professor of both theater and psychology at major universities in Southern California.
