New to Grow
Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience. I believe treatment and therapy should be different for each individual depending on their preferences, background, beliefs, and personality. I consider myself to be warm and inviting and create a space where one feels heard and seen during our sessions. Additionally, I am bilingual and speak Spanish.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
First sessions are really about building rapport with each other and creating a safe and comfortable setting. I give clients the space to share what they feel comfortable saying, and I am mindful of being cautious of sensitive topics. I allow sessions to flow naturally so that my clients feel their needs and talking points are prioritized.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I listen and validate the hardships clients are experiencing. I consider myself someone who helps clients with accountability and guiding clients to meet their goals. I offer support and encouragement without judgement. I hope to create a safe space where clients can be vulnerable and transparent. Asking for help can be difficult and I am here to support you and listen. In addition to thanking you for taking this step and being vulnerable with not only myself but with yourself. At the end of the day you matter and I look forward to meeting with you.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You might be navigating a major life transition, struggling with 'quiet' burnout, or noticing that old coping mechanisms (like people-pleasing or overworking) are no longer working. You feel the weight of expectations—whether they are from your family, your career, or yourself. You are trapped in a cycle of tying your self-worth to achievement. Your inner critic is relentless, telling you that any mistake is a personal failure. You want to set limits, but the fear of being "mean" or "selfish" keeps you stuck in people-pleasing patterns.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help client's navigate emotional distress. In addition to providing coping skills using DBT to help dysregulated mood and learn how to implement skills for their everyday lives. DBT is an evidence-based approach consisting of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help individuals struggling with anxiety. I incorporate this by working on cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, and behavioral activation techniques.
