Hi, my name is Desirae Giraldes and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been a Social Worker for over 25 years. I have worked in a variety of communities and settings throughout my career including schools, medical placements, adult protective services, conservators office, and crisis residential. My focus throughout my career has been working in the area of Mental Health. In 2020 I focused on private practice therapy and found that this area of work is where I belong. I love working with others one on one in a supportive and compassionate setting. I have worked with clients who come looking for support with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and codependency.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My approach is eclectic. I am very client centered and aim to find out what got us to this point while focusing on clients' strengths. Together, we can work to find the source of your feelings and symptoms and develop strategies to decrease them, so you can start living a more fulfilling life.
I understand that reaching out for help can be challenging, and I want to applaud you for taking the first step. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and supported.
