Hi, my name is Ms. Denee, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health and wellness journey. I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, grief and loss, and life transitions. My approach is solution-focused, strengths-based, and collaborative, integrating CBT, coaching, and mindfulness to help bridge the gap between thoughts, motivation, and action. With compassion, humor, and determination, I strive to create a supportive space where you can gain new insight, build confidence, and thrive.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you, your concerns, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your goals, history, and what’s most important for you to address, while also answering any questions you have about the process. Together, we’ll begin identifying your strengths, resources, and small steps you can take toward positive change. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and ready to start your journey toward growth and well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to combine compassion, humor, and practical strategies to help clients make meaningful changes in their lives. I take a collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. By integrating techniques from CBT, mindfulness, and coaching, I help clients gain clarity, build confidence, and turn insight into action. Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling understood, empowered, and equipped with tools to navigate challenges more effectively.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I am a good fit for clients who want a practical, solution-focused approach while also having space to feel heard and understood. Many of the clients I support are motivated to gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and turn insight into meaningful action. My style is collaborative, strengths-based, and encouraging, making teletherapy a comfortable and effective space for growth. If you are looking for a therapist who blends compassion, gentle humor, and structure to help you move forward with confidence, I would be honored to work with you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using this treatment method in my clinical work with individuals, and families across a variety of settings, including private practice, community-based organizations, and telehealth. I use this approach to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and lived experiences, while developing practical skills to manage symptoms and navigate challenges more effectively. I tailor this method to each client’s unique needs, goals, and cultural background. I emphasize collaboration, psychoeducation, and skill-building, while maintaining a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. Whether working through anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or trauma-related issues, I integrate this approach in a flexible and compassionate way, helping clients build insight, resilience, and sustainable coping strategies both in and outside of sessions.

Strength-Based

Strengths-Based approach in my work with individuals and families across diverse settings, including private practice, community organizations, and telehealth. This approach focuses on identifying and building upon each client’s existing strengths, resilience, and resources rather than viewing challenges solely through a deficit-based lens.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients focus on what’s working and what they want to change, rather than spending too much time on problems from the past. This approach is practical, goal-oriented, and especially effective in a telehealth setting. In our sessions, we work together to identify your goals, recognize your strengths, and build on moments when things already feel a little better. I use simple tools like scaling questions and solution-focused conversations to help track progress and highlight small, meaningful changes. Therapy is collaborative and supportive, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you feel empowered, hopeful, and confident in your ability to create positive change in your life—both during sessions and beyond.
