Are you ready to take back control of your thoughts and feelings? Are you ready to consider alternatives to what you have already been doing? The definition of insanity is continuing to do what you have been doing and expecting different results. Lets try something new! I have been a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Florida since 1990 and in Massachusetts since 2015. I approach therapy from a Systems perspective- looking at the the individual in relation to various relationships and systems such as immediate family, extended family or work environment. I also approach therapy from a Solution-Focused perspective- while the root problem needs to be identified, I guide the client to discover solutions unique and acceptable to them. I work with couples to improve communication and problem solving. I have been trained through the Gottman program Levels 1 and 2 which emphasizes trust and commitment as the foundations of a healthy marriage. I have extensive experience working with Substance Abuse issues, working with both the addict and the family members effected by the addiction.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have been working with people who wanted to make some changes in their lives for more than 25 years. Together we've focused on the variety of challenges they were experiencing - depression, anxiety, family or work stressors, relational and communication issues. I also work with people who have experienced trauma, or who have chronic medical conditions, as well as those who are in a difficult situation, or who have lost someone close to them. My counseling style is conversational and interactive, and incorporates a cognitive-emotional-behavioral, solution-focused, body-based approach. We work at a speed comfortable for you, and one that respects your values, your culture and beliefs, your goals. As a therapist, I believe every person is unique, and that their treatment should be tailored to fit their specific needs and circumstances. I am highly passionate about the LGBTQIA+ community, assisting people through transitions (such as college, divorce, or change in careers), helping people understand patterns in their lives and families, and assisting people in gaining more skills to manage their own emotions. My goal as a therapist is to help people to find their strengths, help them grow, and positively change patterns in their daily life. As a LGBTQIA+ therapist, I enjoy helping people explore and understand their sexuality and/or gender. I have experience supporting people through transitioning which includes navigating the health care system, telling family and friends and other stressors. I also have experience working in a college setting for four years. College can be a stressful time when we are learning more about ourselves and how to navigate the world. Are you worried about the new workload, making new friends or dealing with sadness of leaving family and friends? In therapy, together we will utilize your strengths to gain confidence in navigating this new transition. I graduated from Binghamton University with my Masters of Social Work in 2017. After graduation, I worked as a family therapist for two years and then transitioned into the college setting. I now work part time in a Medical school and part time in private practice.

My name is Krystyna Ksiazek. I live in Massachusetts. I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician. I have been practicing psychotherapy for 29 years and never got sick of it. Seeing my clients succeeding, whether in therapy, adds the meaning to my work. My area of interest is Trauma and Complex-PTSD, Anxiety Spectrum Disorders such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, phobias, Eating disorders, Depression, and Grief. Also, I have experience in the treatment of anger management problems, self-harm behaviors, and dissociative/split personality disorders. I like working with Adolescents, Young Adults, Adults, the Elderly, men, and women. I like to reach out beyond the traditional scope of therapeutic interventions, to alternative medicine based on homeostatic model of health. I consider helping clients to become empowered to face new challenges, optimism, and self-confidence as an ultimate goal of the therapy. Despite of the clients becoming sometimes deeply emotionally engaged in therapy, I like to create atmosphere that I am there for them, that I understand and support them. That I do not mind spending more time with them. Also, under exceptional circumstances, I allowed client to contact me on the phone between the session, to assist them in coping with increase in the intensity of the symptoms, guide them when they struggle with using a newly acquired therapeutic intervention. I came to the USA from Poland in the year of 1981. I had to start "from the bottom". I have been through many of ups and downs, painful personal loses; my mother, friend, boyfriend, but I never gave up. My resilience, optimism and none-conformist outlook on the life, did not allow me to accept the failure. Contrary, it motivated me to try harder, because I believed that "I can". Perhaps I was gaolable, but , it worked.

i’m a sober queer and trans/non-binary (they/them) trauma-informed clinical social worker. i have a masters degree in gender studies in addition to my master of social work from smith college. i consider myself a radical feminist, queer elder, and deep weirdo. i consider myself a displaced southerner but love living in western massachusetts with my fat orange cat and crew of feral kids. i have judith butler and james taylor tattoos, and i like to think about the ways that popular culture ranging from queer theory to "NPR dad music" might inform the ways we make sense of our experiences out in the world. i am always excited to discuss relationship dynamics for poly/enm folx, i'm kink and BDSM knowledgeable and about half way through a social justice-oriented radical sex therapist training. i love working with folx living with HIV and HPV C, and i'm happy to work with folx in early recovery. i’m fat and excited to explore body positivity and/or neutrality, and i believe in HAES. (health at every size). i'm white and i'd love to process with other white folx around our tendencies to default to white guilt and complacency rather than antiracist actions. i’m open about being a mental health consumer AND provider and love acting as a therapist to other therapists, too. right now i’m particularly into processing ambiguous loss around the pandemic (what were you going to do with these years?). addiction (again, who and what did you lose in the process of turning your brain off with substances), infertility and pregnancy loss, chronic illness-- these are all either areas where i have professional or lived experience, or both!

About You Are you in a situation where friends and family are not enough help right now? There are times when almost everyone needs to talk to an objective person. If this is your first time in counseling finding out a little about about your counselor is just one of the steps you have to take. Another is understanding what counseling/therapy is. It's a confidential meeting with an objective professional trained to sort things out and identify if you are at risk of harming yourself because life is too painful to bear. If you are dealing with an unbearable situation like having fallen into addiction, being threatened of losing a job, a death in the family, a serious illness of your own, ongoing disability, a relationship going sour or breakup, loss of any kind, early recovery depression or anger, I can help you get back on track. Originally I am a New Yorker. I settled down in Massachusetts after an adventurous life and had a family later than most. Although I did work in human services with my bachelor's degree, I did not have the means to get an MS, in Mental Health Counseling until I was an adult. When I did finally get my Master's degree, it was very satisfying to be so helpful to my clients. I managed a short-term day program for people in early recovery and an inpatient program for detoxifying long term alcoholics. I did get my LMHC and worked in an outpatient mental health clinic. At this clinic, I realized I wanted to work with many different kinds of people. In my private practice, I created a warm and flexible environment where I could steer my course. I have now worked with people with substance abuse, anger issues, divorces, grief, work-related issues, family problems, early recovery, disability, chronic pain, and others. At this point, I am working just with this telehealth practice because both myself and times have changed, Explain to the clients what they can expect from you after the first session and what they can expect from you after they have worked with you for a while If you have done the intake forms and we can assess your safety level, I will find out why you are here.I listen to everything you say. Hopefully, we will get to that point. If not we will get there at the next session. Then we will continue to work on that issue in our sessions until we can find a solution to that problem, As we are working together you can develop the confidence to accept yourself as you are. When you do so you will start to remove obstacles in your life and find solutions. What treatment methods do you use I use client-centered therapy, solution-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology. I can explain what these mean. Client-centered therapy means I focus with you on how you see your present situation. With this information, I help you find answers to the obstacles you face. Solution-oriented therapy focuses on building solutions to the present problems. We don’t talk as much about the problem as the answers and hopes, Cognitive Behavioral therapy teaches you how to recognize your unhelpful thought patterns and create healthy new ones.
